Bring on the meats 🍖 . Amazing Texas style BBQ here in New Mexico. We were first in line over an hour before they open at 11am because they can run out. Had a lot fun conversations with the owner Jack who moved from central Texas. He got a lot of tips from his friend Aaron Franklin who is famous for his spot in Austin, TX. Jack hooked us up with some off-menu burnt ends and some of the best cuts. His “Dino” beef rib and sliced brisket has the perfect fat ratio and marbled to delicious perfection. Made me food drunk 😋. Turkey was surprisingly great and better than the pulled pork. Pork ribs were yum. Regular and jalapeño sausage links were ok. They had a fun spread of sweet, vinegary and medium bbq sauces. Highly recommend this spot. The mac and cheese that had smoked bacon was a hit. Bet @madjacksmountaintopbbq gets even more famous. They even bring the wood from Texas up here for smoking.
