Writing/outlining a little alpha!Brendon fic where he's all sad and broody because he hasn't found his mate yet and just wants to love someone.
Like house designed and built with her in mind (he has 0 use for a vanity but wakes up every morning and looks over picturing his beautiful mate brushing her hair). He's so proud of the nest room he made, with bookshelves because he knows his girl will be a reader (and if not he'll rip them out day 1 and replace them with anything her heart wants). Brendon who built a functioning kitchen despite living on chicken and rice, because he wants make her breakfast. Brendon who wants to make her life easier. Brendon who knows how to paint nails and braid hair, who definitely didn't used to bug his sisters into letting him practice. Brendon who works out constantly so he can protect her, and lift her up and fuck her against the wall, but constantly worrys it's not enough or that he won't be her type.
Poor Reader who's embarrassed by how needy her omega is. Who at the first scent of her mate starts bitching about certain tasks because he should be doing that for her (getting gas, carrying heavy bags, making herself cum), not that she's even met him yet. Reader who is terrified to meet her mate incase he thinks shes too much. Her parents adored each other and her mother spoilted the shit out of her and her father, and now she's not sure she'll cope if her mate isnt obsessed with her like she is already with him. Reader who learnt too cook because feeding and nourishing people feels a lot like love. Who learnt how to give massages because she wants her alpha to feel at peace with her. Shy Reader who has two whole friends of her own but aches to meet his, wants to know all the important people in his life. Reader who gives up her apartment and moves into an abandoned wing of the hospital when she catches his scent in the building during her orientation because she cannot bare to be away from it however faint.
Brendon who finds her in said abandoned hospital wing, and carrys her to his car over his should without a word because he so angry about how reckless that was, but who absolutely melts into a puddle when she explains why. And sure he spanks her but it's mixed with the most adoring praise for the love of his life and future mother of his pups.
