Yamaguchi is a first year, while you’re in your second year! You met Yamaguchi through Nishinoya and Tanaka, who are your besties! Their title was a self-appointed title
You’ve been dating for a month after you got together with Tsukishima’s help since you both were being little dumb-dumbs, thinking the other couldn’t like you
Your feelings were returned, and now you’re happy together!
So as the school year is nearing winter break, the school decided to host a festival of sorts where each class held an event in their classroom
Your class decided to do a haunted house! You were going to be the one to do some of the SFX make up for your classmates, which meant you could roam around during the actual festival
You had asked Yamaguchi what his class was doing during but he had just brushed off the question and you didn’t push it
But now that it was the day before the festival you were curious about what your boyfriends class was going to be doing
“Tadashi-kun!” you call out, getting his attention before he left the school
“Yes, Y/N-senpai?” he calls out as he turns around, a blush on his face
“What event is your class doing for the festival?”
“U-Um, w-well, you see,” he stutters out, the blush on his cheeks spreading to cover his entire face, “ …..a maid cafe….” he mumbles out
You don’t think you hear him right and ask for him to repeat himself
“We- we’re doing a maid cafe, my shift is in the morning….” his words start out strong and then he quiets down in the end as if he didn’t really want you to hear when his shift was
“Okay! My class is doing a haunted house! And after your shift, we can roam around the rest of the festival together! On a cute date!”
After you mention that it was going to be a date after, Yamaguchi’s eyes widen and he averts his stare, and his blush, which you thought was as red as it could go, got even redder
“A-a date? O-okay, if that’s what you want senpai….”
“Yup! See you then tada-kun!” you exclaim as you skip away excited for your date tomorrow, not even processing the fact that Yamaguchi had mentioned that his class was putting on a MAID cafe….
Time skip to the next morning as you leave your house ready to go put some makeup on others faces so that they can scare the living daylights out of some random students and members of the community
It finally hits you, Yamaguchi’s class is doing a MAID CAFE
You automatically assume he’s probably going to be in either a butler outfit or a chef costume and get to school
You go straight to your classroom, shooting Yamaguchi a good morning text and letting him know that you’ll meet him at his classroom when his shift ends
He responded with a quick message that he’d meet you outside his classroom at the END of his shift, emphasis on end
You get there in the morning and do everyone’s SFX makeup for the first shift
You were supposed to have stayed there “on call” in case someone’s make up was messed up but the let you go walk around the festival as long as you kept your phone on you and were able to head back if you were needed
Since you were able to leave you decided to head to Yamaguchi’s class and surprise him by arriving earlier
As you walk down to the class, you notice girls leaving his classroom blushing, giggling, with a dazed look on their faces
You reach Yamaguchi’s class, and peer inside the door, taking in the decor of the room
As you do so, you notice that the attire everyone is wearing is different from what you expected, because the girls aren’t in maid outfits and the guys aren’t in butler outfits, but its the opposite
The guys are in maid outfits and the girls in butler outfits
The cogs in your brain start to click and you realize why yamaguchi was so bashful when he was admitting what his class was doing
You realize-
YAMAGUCHI IS GOING TO BE IN A MAID OUTFIT
Your eyes start to scan the room, searching for your precious boyfriend
But instead of spotting him, you make eye contact with Tsukishima, who is in the back cooking, cakes? But he gestures with his head to the corner of the room, where you notice a figure trying to act inconspicuous
Your eyes widen as you notice the cute green hair, the adorable freckles, and the nervous stature
The cute boy in the corner wearing a maid costume is your boyfriend Yamaguchi!
Your jaw drops as you start to make your way towards him mind not working at full speed
“Dashi?” you call out, dumbfounded
Yamaguchi’s head snaps up and you make eye contact, his blush deepens and he quickly shifts his eyes to the ground
“Y-Y/N-senpai? W-what are you doing here?” he stutters out, and almost impossibly, his blush deepens
“I was able to leave my classroom during my shift at the festival because they didn’t need me anymore at that time.” you state, your eyes drinking in the outfit he’s wearing, the lace on the apron and headpiece, and the ruffles of the sleeves.
You reach out and grab his had, softly speaking, “you look really cute ‘dashi, im jealous others got to see you in this before i did.”
As you say this you can see him visibly gulp, “Thank you Y/N-senpai, but i didn’t want you to see me in this… its embarrassing…”
“No its not baby, you look cute” You say, trying to calm him down
As he starts to calm down you give him a kiss on the cheek
He grabs your other hand and turns you towards him, and then he presses a kiss to your forehead and says “I didn’t want to seem weak infront of you senpai, i’m sorry i didnt tell you this is what my class was doing.”
“‘Dashi baby, you could never seem weak to me. You look adorable like this.” you reply a soft smile on your face as you look up at him. “Now when does your shift end so we can go on our date?”
He checks the clock and replies with “another hour, sorry senpai.”
You check your phone and notice a text saying that you’re needed for makeup in your classes haunted house.
You tell Tadashi this, and start to grab your stuff to leave.
“I’ll come to your classroom once my shift is done senpai, i can’t wait for our date today!”
