These white narcissuses have been blowing me away with their beauty and fragrance and I simply wanted to share them with you! Since I wasn’t home for most of the autumn I couldn’t force my own and bought these pre-forced at the grocery store. I find it a bit nostalgic in the best possible way to force bulbs indoors or buy them pre-forced to have them ready to bloom in the winter months. It is always a bit of a gamble if they flower at Christmas, though. For me it has become a bit of a tradition to have some forced bulbs indoors at this time of the year. Besides narcissuses my other favorites are hyacinths and amaryllises. Are you forcing or buying forced bulbs for winter or specifically for Christmas? Current view from our kitchen into the family room. These filled paperwhites that I bought pre-forced at Traeder Joe’s are such a delight to look at and the fragrance is absolutely amazing! Do you have paperwhites gracing your home right now? If not, you must, they are simply lovely and bring so much cheer into the house in the winter time. Honestly, I find them a pain in the neck to force myself, so I am very happy that some grocery stores and nurseries are offering them now pre-forced and ready to bloom. And yes, we still have our Christmas tree up this year and I am not apologetic about it.
