Prey species really do have a peak aesthetic.

Rabbits and their little twitchy noses, nervous and eager to bolt to safety. Fluffy paws for running and long ears to hear, silky fur that would feel luxurious between fangs and brushing across tongue. Feeling their fast breathing and even faster heartbeat when they are caught and forced to be still.

Sheep and lambs, peaceful and trusting, ready to follow wherever they may be led, even if that place is not within their best interest. Or maybe it is. With their sweet bleats and the bell around their neck, they prance unknowingly to be the sacrifice they were always meant to be.

Domestic cats, while not technically prey, do look like such to preds like foxes or coyotes. Sometimes chasing something sharp, something that can bite back, is more fun then the pursuit of an animal that is more apt to run and hide. Which one of you is better at pursuit? at defense? at takedown? The quick scramble of claws and fang as both try to determine who is truly Prey.
