those forest giants remind me of chalicotheres, were they an inspiration? i love prehistoric animals and chalicotheres happen to be one of my favorites!
Yes! There are a lot of things that have gone into their mix but Chalicotheres and giant ground sloths are some of my favorite prehistoric mammals too! So there’s a lot of them in there for sure! (I’ve got a lot of doodles of these guys but not many finished)
Another big pull was the urRu from the Dark Crystal, I haven’t watched the new stuff because time but they made a big impact on me when I was young so a lot of their energy is in these guys!
