joel miller stood in a bedroom with ellie as she begged him not to leave her as she told him everyone in her life has left her or died as she said she’d be more scared than ever if he left her and afterwards he decided to stay with this kid who finally made him feel again after twenty years of being numb he stayed for her because she asked him too she asked him not to leave her. of course he couldn’t walk away from her in that hospital. she’d begged him not to. and after that im meant to think it’s not ooc that in part 2 ellie can’t understand the choice he made. yes be mad at it be furious but to not understand it at all? she literally writes in her journal that she doesn’t think she can understand it ever. im expected to believe that in two years she wouldn’t try to understand or ask him to explain or find out from his mouth what happened in the hospital and why he did what he did? im expected to believe that with her great fear of ending up alone and being left, especially by him, she wouldn’t want to try at forgiveness sooner?
