HELLO i live! this year has really been full of events. and happenstances. but i come out victorious (and very very tired)

i’m going to be updating my ko-fi soon so it doesnt look so barren, as well as posting some new art on here. not sure i can handle a whole new load of commissions right now but i am going to be opening one, maybe two slots in the coming days as my quest to afford meds, and food, and perhaps even some little treats is never ending.

Gladiola stood currently alone in the fairly sizable green house, water dripping idly out of the head of her watering can as she carefully drifted it over a few freshly bloomed flowers. She’d sent the invite out to the other UA Teachers and staff, calling for them to gather to have a sort of casual conference over an indoor picnic on this cold day, to just chat and talk about their various students and how they were doing. But thus far the turnout was not what she’d desired.

After all, she was there alone currently.

And she understood why, this was a rare day with no proper conferences, no school attacks, no major student acts or meetings. They all probably went home early, or those that were proper heroes went ahead and started their hero work. She really should have expected that outcome... Oh well, at least she had her plants, and the lunch that she’d gotten LunchRush to help her with, using a lot of fresh ingredients from the Garden itself! Way more food than one person could eat, but she could figure something out for the rest of it.

While she was lost in thought, she didn’t even hear the door to the Garden open and close off to her side.

"Oh he respects me just fine, but he's awfully protective is the problem" She made a waving gesture with two fingers, Karsis stalking off to busy himself by sticking his head in a barrel looking for more scraps. "So now let's focus on why you're here, you know what I am so I can only assume you want to kill me, hire me, or somewhere between the two" ~ forgemistress

“Perceptive, you are! Good, I do enjoy someone who can talk before they swing.”

She says it with a small chuckle, and puts her hands together infront of her, down at her waist. She lets them decide if they’d like to approach or not-- let them feel like they have control over the situation.

“Well, you’ve got part of it. You weren’t very subtle back in the mountain pass village. It caught the attention of some individuals, of which I am a part of. We, the council of Styria, would like to negotiate your set of skills in to our employ.”

“He probably did a long time ago- but now, I call him Karsis” Her tone was soft, light almost as she placed the forging tool on her hip where it belonged, the large beast in question went to advance before her hand at his neck stopped him. “He can be ‘funny’ with new people, tends to strike before he’s told to do so, it drives away most visitors so now I wonder, either you really wanted to meet me- or you aren’t completely human.” ~ forgemistress

          “Human? Maybe once. It has been a long time.”

         She laughs gently, unintimidated by the large beast. There’s no fear, not even hesitation in her posture and stance. It’s a magnificent beast. But she has her worries, in the back of her mind.

         “Owning such a beast and having dubious control over it tends to lead to untimely incidents of death, I’ve come to find among exotic collectors. Respect between both owner and pet needs to be kept.”

The woman stood at around five foot seven, ebony hair sitting in a pixie styling as she twirled a blade that glowed an emerald hue. A large night creature, that one would describe as resembling a horse, stood at around seven foot with its head hanging over the woman's shoulder eating something from her outstretched hand. ~ forgemistress

           She watches; of course she watches. She watches so much more than anyone ever gives her credit for, even her own sisters. This new partnership was something fragile, and delicate. They had one forgemaster at their disposal, but another could never hurt. The bodies would come eventually, from their side or the others, once they began to take the land east.

           And as with delicate work, it had been left to her to tend the negotiations.

           “It’s beautiful. Does it have a name?”

Celestia awaited her expected guest within the antechamber of her and her Sister’s palace. The majestic alabaster Alicorn had dispatched her missive some days ago, asking the smith to join her in Canterlot, to discuss a duty of particular significance Celestia wished to bestow upon her.
