Long Nights
The previous night had been rather eventful and particularly aggressive in nature. What had started out as trying to stop a bar fight ended up as an all out brawl that she got caught in the middle of, with the last thing she remembered was seeing someone else show up on the scene to assist, just before she passed out.
Now Midnight would awaken to the sweet smell of baked goods and paper. The bed was unfamiliar and large, the room itself lined from wall to wall with books ranging from high fantasy, to Scifi, to romance, and there were several shelves devoted to academics to boot. At a glance it almost looked like the room of a particularly gifted student in some regards. But if the smell were to lead her on, it would not be hard to find its source.
A very tall girl taking a tray of cookies out of the oven just down the hall from the room she’d just left. Long messy black hair was the first trait Midnight could notice before one of the girl’s ears twitched at the sound of someone moving, and she jumped a bit and spun around, nearly dropping the tray in the process, nearly.
“Ahh... Good to see you up and moving... Uhh, when i can’t sleep i cook.” She wasn’t really sure why she was explaining herself, but it just felt more awkward if she didn’t “I couldn’t really sleep all that well while I was waiting to see if you recovered... want a cookie?” She just gestured, holding the now slightly cooled tray forward.
