Meet Patrick & Clover, adorable 6 week old kittens available for pre-adoption! These unique siblings were found outdoors, covered with fleas, & were rescued through Kerry Cat on the 12. Kerry was out of town that day so she asked us if we could take them overnight. Of course, we ended up keeping them longer and decided to foster them for her!!
Patrick is a rather plump, adventurous kitten with the softest blue/gray tabby & white fur. Clover is a unique calico/classic tabby who seems to be slightly less adventurous but definitely more feisty! Both are very friendly. They enjoy playing with people, dogs, & cats!

Prior to closure in the 1970′s, The Shamrock Village Motel in Fort Pierce, Florida was well known for its Olympic-sized swimming pool, 210 rental units and convention facilities. The property was later turned into the 55+ Colonnades Condo complex. Note the pool and tennis courts in the lower left of the 1960′s aerial view and Google Earth screenshot, two of the few amenities that remain in 2021. The building with the orange roof was called the Flamingo Restaurant at the time and now operates as the Seaway Market & Deli.

The sixth most important crop in the world is Sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes are versatile and are often used in meals to reduce the food calories. They are delicious and an excellent source of various vitamins in the food. Sweet potatoes are used for both culinary and non-culinary purpose.

History of National Cook a Sweet Potato Day
The exact origin and the founder of National Cook a Sweet Potato Day remains unknown. George Washington Carver made these sweet potatoes as the first adhesive that was earlier used in postage stamps. However, sweet potato has been honored by various culture for centuries. The origin and domestication of sweet potato are thought to be in either Central America or South America. Sweet potatoes were domesticated in Central America at least 5,000 years ago. In South America, Peruvian sweet potato remains to date as far back as 8000 BC have been found. Later it was cultivated in other parts of the world and many places of Asia and Africa, sweet potato constitutes a principal portion of a standard diet. Sweet potato has played a significant role in the food diet of people in the long years.
How to celebrate National Cook a Sweet Potato Day
As the name indicates, National cook a Sweet Potato day is observed by cooking the sweet potato in any form. It can be boiled, steamed, fried, mashed, baked and grilled the way one like. Traditional sweet potatoes dishes like sweet potato casserole, salads, soups can be tried on this day. The key to making the best use of sweet potatoes is to cook them with different ingredients which complement their sweetness, rather than amplify it. International Biscuit Festival is usually conducted in Tennessee, Sweet Potato casserole Biscuits will be cooked on this particular day, and the best biscuits are awarded prizes. This day could be celebrated by learning to plant and grow Sweet Potatoes.

please share if you or anyone you know live in or near Fort Pierce/Port St. Lucie our baby sokka ran away (last seen at the address in the last image) and we are beside ourselves i spent about 11-12 hours at the rest stop looking for her, trying to get her to come back, and waiting to see if she would come for food and catnip (because she was very spooked so i needed to give her some space to let her calm down) it was her first time in the car that we know of, and her second on a leash/harness, which she slipped out of she is frightened and does not have a lot of experience in the wild, and i’m willing to bet she’s human-dependent she is very likely traumatized already; all we want to do is bring her home and give her love until she can feel (and be) safe again
