Xolo the Axolotl is a 3rd degree relative of Tely the Fire Salamander. He's an alchemist. When he was working in the Kingdom of Fortellia laboratory, an unexpected accident happened. Guess what? He didn't just die naturally. He transformed. Somehow it went dark after that. His ability as a writer can make you locked in, eradicating distractions, procrastination and most of all he will give you clarity. He will never let you lose your sight on what story you're making of.

Xolo the Axolotl is ready for the upcoming family tree feature in Fortelling 5.0!
Meta can use public content on Instagram including your artwork, captions, and original characters to help train generative AI models. If you post creative work online, this takes about two minutes and is worth doing.
Follow these steps exactly:
Go to your profile
Tap the three lines in the top right
Scroll down and tap About
Open Privacy Policy
Tap the three lines again in the top right
Scroll to Other policies and articles
Open “How Meta uses information for generative AI models and features”
Tap Object
Submit your objection
You will receive an email confirming that your public content will not be used to train their AI models.
While you are protecting your work, think about where you create it too. Some platforms quietly use stories and art for AI training.
Fortelling lets you plan and write without any AI involvement. Your story and data stay safe. Your story stays private until you share it and even so you can decide which parts to show.
Stay safe and creative <3
Hello tag lurker on Tumblr! Here I'm to promote (without being paid) one of the best story building and database for your story!
Fortelling is a free collaborative app for writers, where you can create everything you need for your writing (and also TTRPG).
Has premium version, that gets rid of ads and gives you access to some little tools.
They have a really clear stance against GenAI, protection for your work, and also a really responsive support team... formed by the only dev, our beloved Albert-Jan!
If you want an official look to Forteling, there is the Fortelling Official Wiki!!! Is really easy to use and helps a lot to get the idea!
Get ready to give Fortelling a deep dive to see if you have found your next great writing companion in this story creation!!!
Firstly, you might ask yourself: Is free, but has a paid version. All the good features are paywalled?
Short answer: NO, most features are free to use in Fortelling!!
Long answer: Just 7 features are locked to premium users: Ad free experience - Web app - Customized tools - .EPUB and .docx export - Role based access - Public wiki - InkLink
Now you'll wonder, when I start to talk about those "Most features" that are free! So, let me present to you Fortelling!
Is it too much? No, it's just the beginning! Let's analyse it!
You can create a project, where you create your database. All projects have two sections: Story Elements and Writing.
Story Elements
Just fill templates with all the information you can give and infodump the entire app!!! The custom ones are premium (InkLink) but the base ones are great and really flexible!
Timelines: Yes, timelines to put anything on your control and don't miss a single detail!
Characters & Groups: Keep track of their personality and story, build characterization and check their story role.
Worldbuilding (Locations - Species - Items - Languages): Create the entire lore of a single world and then go to a specific house! Make all the interesting facts about your species! A cool legendary item or just another spoon? Put in a lexicon the entire language and hold the meanings!
Files and Labels: Images and notes to write without any limit, and put them in folders within folders.
Labels apply to EVERY ELEMENT IN FORTELLING, so you can filter them and search them quickly.
(Also there are the Boards, that are digital pinboards to put all your elements and link them)
Okay, time to move to:
Writing
You can create books on a Fortelling project, in where each one has:
Synopsis: Write what your book is about.
Chapters: Write and format the entire story here; use the quick-explore to check information as you write, outline scenes with scene feature, and link the chapter to any element!
(Also, put some chapter status and export them in different formats, being .epub and .docx premium)
Goals & Logbook: Keep track of your progress every day!!!
Plot Overview/Outline: All your chapter scenes in one place, ready to be read and corrected!!
Extra notes
Has dark mode!!!
Available in several languages and searching for voluntary translators.
All is collaborative, but all need an account and being placed in the right role to edit or read.
You can share it as a wiki, but needs to put the elements as "visible to readers"
There are folders for projects, if you need to separate them because you have too many or just want organization.
There are a prompt challenges, where everyone can participate to put some writing on the week's prompt!
If you want me to talk about the paid version and their extra tools, reblog to request it!
Watching Crossing Jordan because I made a plan to watch all of Kathryn Hahns work (I often do this when I suddenly fall in love with a character and their actor lol) and I just noticed this!
It’s not the clearest photo because I had to take a photo of my laptop screen but… 2001 was already foreshadowing! Her second tv show giving a glimpse into (currently) her most successful one.
The necklace! A cameo style necklace with a blue background and gold chain… like this one
