"we all live in Detroit." - seth godin i was absolutely appalled to hear the statistics from this recent story featured on the The Daily Show where they shared a collage of mashed up media reports of the current crisis of Detroit Daily Show link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qjfqpi8rSw )

to think that the Motor City of the US, the booming guts and heart beat of the automobile, the home to icons like Barry Sanders and the Detroit Lions, is now on the verge of becoming the biggest ghost town to put itself on the American map... but it is happening. and we can see it. thousands of people are fleeing the city like a gasoline fire to an ant hill. what many can't seem to see however, is that Detroit is happening everywhere.  it's time to reconsider where we're going, how we're getting there, who's going to have our backs, and how we're raising our kids and future hope of the American working force. what are you going to say to them as they step out of the home and into this world? like Detroit, what America once was, it is no more. it's time to feed the creative thinkers and literally change the world.   (be an artist)

Think Forward

Everyone I've ever ran from in life has told me that "the grass is not always greener on the other side". So, I've embarked on a journey to the polar opposite places from them to discover it all for myself. I encourage you to do the same. 2012 should be a year of actual NEW resolutions, not more of the same.
