We completed our first home visit with the agency and signed up for Foster Parent College. Our kid could be placed with us as soon as next week if judge signs off.

He got a new case worker so I sent an email reintroducing myself and explaining our goal of ultimately adopting him.

Called my dad and told him. He’s very supportive he thinks the pieces will fall into place very soon.

I’ve been in Boston since Thursday and I’ve missed my kid so much. Just hearing how happy he is on the phone when I call him to check in gives me a warm feeling. my heart has become so full.

I’m so grateful to have my son. He’s given me such a higher sense of self and purpose. I can truly feel a shift within me since he’s come into my life.

The Judge approved the Physical Change of Custody! He’s officially ours 🤍

My son always be trying me buy me shit. Today he was trying to buy me a Starbucks and 5 guys with his allowance/birthday money 🤣

I’m thinking that placement will change this week.

Home study report has been completed and sent to DCS.

We asked for overnight visits, his case worker is going to staff the report and our request for overnights and placement today with her supervisor.

Hopefully we hear back at the end of today.

My kid told me yesterday that Monday (today) he’s going to be placed with us. Maybe we can speak it into existence.

I have been praying that this all happens before his birthday.

Side Note- his therapist asked him what he imagines Christmas will look like and smell like in our home. He said there will be a Christmas tree and it will smell like cookies. I had to laugh, he’s too sweet. 🤍

We have a home study on Wednesday for kinship once it’s approved DCS will put in a request for a change of physical custody that the judge will need to sign. 🤞🏻
