Found this pretty but very dirty girl running up the side of I-84 near the Cesar Chavez exit earlier today. Taking her to get checked for a tag. I checked for lost dog posts but didn't see any that matched her.
She is young, sweet and playful. Clearly she is very loved. PDX folx, anybody know her?

FOUND DOG: Male White Poodle Mix, Sequan Truck Trail, Alpine 5-7-19 I found a little poodle mix wandering on Sequan Truck Trail this morning in Alpine. He may be blind or visually impaired. Collar but no tag. Animal control is coming for him. Friendly enough so I don’t think he’s been lost too long. Please call 619-850-6596
One of these adorable cuties ran right into my arms. The other one made me chase it for the next half hour up and down 700 blocks, and then crawl on the ground of someone’s backyard and feed it hot dogs in order to gain its trust, and then it basically only wanted to live in my lap.
Thankfully ran into an off duty animal control officer who helped me out let me know they’re closed today, but where I could go to drop them off and to “not take no for an answer”
Special shout out to Chico the Chihuahua (not pictured), who lived in the backyard and decided he was going to protect that strange doggo who showed up out of nowhere, come hell or high water. He was an excellent boy. 11/10.

LOCATION_DESCRIPTION: Found Dog Alpine Ca 91901 on Jan 2 2019. A large Husky or Alaskan Malamute Male dog wandering Big Red Road in Alpine. We invited him into our backyard. Please contact me if you lost or know this dog. Dog is grey and black with blue eyes, no collar or dog tags.
The two dogs are back, but it is all very strange. At 11pm Mom called me to say the dogs were at HER house! They have never been to her house! NEVER! I live outside of town, she lives in it, and in between there is the four lane highway etc.
After hunting and deciding we might never see them again...they met her!
So off I rushed to get them with the pickup. Mom didn’t even have a leash at her house. They seemed delighted to see me and were fine for the ride.Once there it was a different story.
They did NOT want to go home! I had to carry the pup (and boy are they getting big now) but Hera pulled hard. To make matters worse, Zeus and the pups wanted to come out while I was trying force her in. By flashlight I’m trying to hold all these heads back and Mom isn’t jumping into it and can’t push Hera and...UGH! to It was a heck of a struggle. Hera seemed to prefer being strangled to being home!
I think I figured it out though. She is sick of her hyper four puppies! The lot is bigger than many home lots, with several dog houses, but the puppies just hang around her. Once back in the lot I heard her do something she’s never done before. She growled at them A serious angry growl. Any time one of the puppies got near her she growled! In the confusion Mom had lost her house key, so we hunted it up. with the flashlight. By the time we finished, Hera was back where they escaped before, digging!
I’ve put things to try to block her for tonight, but we may have a serious problem. I’ll have to figure something out.
Mom was angry and said if they do this again she thinks we should just let them go. That’s absurd. I pointed out the dogs found her and she said she could just pretend not to know them.
***sigh****
She won’t really do it, but she is telling me she doesn’t want to be bothered any more. So now it is up to me to find a way to deal with the dogs...Geez I hope Hera doesn’t dig out again tonight!
PLEASE PUT I.D TAGS ON YOUR PETS…..
I just want to put this out there….as you know I post a LOT of lost or found pets here and we have an AMAZING TRACK RECORD for reuniting them with the owners… BUT…. the stress that these pets endure when they are lost could be GREATLY REDUCED, if they simply had an ID TAG. Even just a collar with a phone number written in SHARPIE PEN would do the trick. I know…
I started the Colorado Lost & Found Pets page on Facebook about 6 years ago and WOW have I learned a bunch along the journey.
People are so distraught or worried when they post that they often neglect to give everyone great information to try to help spread the word and help with more pet and people reunions.
SIX THINGS TO DO RIGHT AWAY!
Act fast! Colorado shelters are, by law, only required to…
Okay so, because I'm trying to signal boost this to high heavens:
These two sweet babies followed me home from the mailbox on the northwest side of Houston, TX. The black/grey one is a boy, the white one is a girl, neither is spayed or neutered. The girl looks like she may have recently given birth (though I'm not an expert, take that with a grain of salt) and she has a limp. They're both very sweet, very mellow and a little jumpy. PLEASE let me know if you recognize or own these dogs (or would like to take them in until we find owners) and we'll have them returned as soon as possible. I can only keep them for a night and then I have to take them to animal control. I very unfortunately do not have the means to house or care of them longer than that. They do not have collars and will not allow me to put them in the car for the vet to check for microchips, but as soon as I have some kennels I'll be trying to do that.
