I've got a few stories at various stages that I hope to have ready to post soon, but I confess it typically takes me a loooong time to write (and then edit and then rewrite and then edit again... until I'm finally happy)-- I'm only able to maintain the posting schedule I set myself because even for long multichap fics I finish writing most of the story before I ever start posting the first chapter. That way it's only my very tedious editing process you have to wait for week on week 😭
I've been wanting to bring No Half Measures over to this platform, so I'll probably start posting that one next. Maybe even later today for chap 1? I made a silly little banner for it this morning, so I just need to reformat the text for Tumblr.
As for new work, I've got about three or four things fairly well developed so might be able to get one of those up soonish. I'm probably most excited about the Ode to the 2025 Euros I've been working on, but feel a strong desire to really get that one right across all the little details, so might be a bit longer for it.
I was wondering: do you already have ideas for your next fics? Did you already started on writing something and can you share some things about what you are going to Write about? I’m just so sad minimum recovery time is coming to an end so would be nice to look forward to something new. 😊

pretty close to fully written, but I feel a little weird posting because it involves Ona playing for Arsenal, which was a plot choice I very fictionally made long before it was ever actually on the table!
Lucy + Ona + babies-- sweet + very smutty
started this one a few weeks ago and am already maybe halfway through writing it? it's very sweet and very hot and writing it has been like getting to watch a delightful movie playing out in my head that I can't wait to share with you all
the version of Lucy in this is SO much less beaten down by circumstance than most of what i've written for her lol. she's got this verrrrrry sexy confidence I'm kind of obsessed with (so is the Ona of the story)

focus here is etching into my brain all the absurdly cinematic details surrounding how Lucy fucking dragged the Lionesses to victory
expect fictionalized versions of actual details, like:
Lucy startling teammates with 3am ice baths
obviously the secret broken tibia
Lucy controlling the wall bracket, younger players can't touch
yelling at sarina for subbing her out v netherlands and wales ("i can't train, i need to PLAY to stay sharp" vs "lucy! you have a BROKEN LEG, go sit down")
scoring that magical goal to kickstart resurgence v sweden
strapping up own thigh with half the team bloody on the ground, then ripping off strapping to score winning pen
football stats obsession -> shootout victory (the "i love maths" interview)
pain med regimen for broken leg -> vomiting pain meds up just before kickoff v spain because of extended use
playing against ona in yet another major final
injuring other leg, hopping on sidelines, hopping through victory celebrations, riding on moorhouse's back, hugging ona on the ground in tears, telling the world about broken leg in pitchside postmatch interview
etc etc (please send in other ideas of details if you remember things i've left out!)
Smutty companion piece to London at Last
a series of low-plot/high-smut sketches of Lucy and Ona visiting each other while in a low-stress ldr, this time set in Barcelona
this is currently mostly outlined and about half written, but it's easier to write quickly than other things because it's so plot-free

A few thoughts from me in response-- what you say about chapter 8 is so interesting to me! Here and in the AO3 comments, I feel like there were really two schools of thought in response to Ona's actions/thought processes. I am obviously in the camp that sympathises with Ona, but it was so interesting to me to see that a sizeable minority of readers didn't sympathise with her at all! I totally respect the different readings of the situation, but in case it's interesting to you to hear my perspective: for me it wasn't so much that Ona blamed Lucy, but rather that she felt unable to trust Lucy. To me the Ona in this chapter is is terrified, completely in panic mode. And, for me at least, that panic was justified-- not because what Lucy did was wrong (or even that Ona thought it was) but rather because Ona's pain at the loss was so deep and therefore the fear of experiencing it again was so high.
Curious if this resonates for you or if you still don't see Ona in this chapter as sympathetic? (no judgement from me either way!)
And then as to your other questions:
Re: smut in future stories.... the answer is a big yes, haha. I'm always rather shy/nervous about posting smut, like, "is what i find hot when writing a scene also something others will find hot to read?!" but in the end it's definitely part of the stories i enjoy telling, so i plan to keep at it <3
Re: did they have other relationships or sexual encounters in the years apart? i guess i haven't thought much about that, though you're not the only person to ask about it. maybe in the future i'll add some oneshots in this universe and, if so, i could see possibly writing one related to this... like maybe a future version of L and O end up running into someone one of them dated during their time apart and then the two of them deal with that?
And finally, re: what does ona's family think about them getting back together? honestly i could see that being another good plot hook for a one shot in a follow up to this universe, but tbh "what does ona's family think of their relationship decisions" is one of the core questions i've been writing about in the nearly-finished sequel to No Half Measures, and while of course that's a very different universe, i'm not sure i'm up for writing two stories about familial opinions on L & O's relationship choices right now! though never say never...
The tragic realisation that Sonia playing Lucy out of position all season and dragging our team down in quality means Lucy probably won't win any of the awards for right back anymore😔
Bearing in mind, she won the fifa world 11 right back spot eight times and now probably won't ever again😭
Oh anon, what a depressing thought 😭
But have some faith in Lucy, I don't think this year is her last chance for anything-- even if this particular season is kind of shot, you know if England win the World Cup in '27 she'll be at the heart of it all 🔥
(And yes, I know Lucy herself would say she doesn't care about individual awards, but what can I say, I like seeing her collect the praise she deserves 😂)
