if you make fanfic please add a transformative works policy to your profile/bio/wherever you can so it’s visible!!! 

it lets people know if they can make fanart/podfic/translations/remixes/sequels/etc., and it makes life so much easier for those people since they can just read your policy instead of having to ask you! 

common statements are blanket permission (yes to everything), blanket permission with caveats (yes to some things, ask for others), ask before making anything, or an all over no

Hello OMGCP friends! For some time in this fandom, I have worked to encourage podficcing, by encouraging authors to put blanket permission in their profiles and maintaining a list here on my tumblr of all the profiles in the fandom I found with blanket permission. (You can find many posts in my #podfic tag of me updating said list). I am happy to announce that I have joined forces with the wonderful Rindle (and many others) to put all of this information into the database they run: https://www.fpslist.org. It is similar to what I have done in the past, but more powerful because Rindle enters ail the fandom tags for profiles, thus we have a list for MANY fandoms. I have thus spent the last month or so off and on re-reading every profile in Check, Please! and sending along links so the database could be updated, and now it is DONE. (I will be replacing the one on my tumblr soon with a link, as that one is no longer up to date)

Please note, this database is still maintained much the same way as I did before AKA by humans not any form of bot, it’s just that this one is a group project!
