Frackle from The Great Santa Claus Switch
The Muppet Show (1976-1981)
Inside you there are two Art Carneys….
I can’t believe that Gonzo’s first scene on television is handing an evil magician a cigar.
...You know, I could write a post about Fracktail. Fracktail is pretty weird! He’s a big robotic dragon full of bones! Why is this robot full of bones? In addition, I’d get to get into this deep dive about his whole background and the lore of Super Paper Mario, but you know what? I’m not gonna do that today. It’s not because I don’t like you! But because there’s something far more important at hand...
Name: Frackle
Debut: Super Paper Mario
Now check this out! This is a Frackle! While you fight Fracktail, you climb on his back, and need to hit his antenna. But what with? These little guys! Frackle is simply adorable. Look at its cute little eye with the x-shaped pupil! Look at its little wheels and silly duck-mouth! I’ve realized that with the tail and yellow orb that resembles the one on Fracktail’s antenna, the Frackles are almost mini-Fracktails themselves! How precious! I want twenty!
And there’s a purple version too! This is called Wrackle! It’s ten times stronger than a regular Frackle! And both of them roll around on their little wheels firing balls of energy at you periodically! Maybe I should’ve mentioned that sooner!
Unfortunately, these enemies only appear during their respective boss fights, so you don’t get much chance to ever see them. I know you can’t rematch Fracktail, so Frackle is only seen right then and there, but I’m not sure about Wracktail. I’ve never finished the Flipside Pit of 100 Trials, let alone twice! But I figure that this post will be helpful. Seeing Frackle in action may be fleeting, but Frackle itself is forever.
