Fract's Attempts to Classify the Fears, Part 𝑛
What it says on the tin. I don't know why I'm doing this. I think I just like graphs?...
Anyway, I made some stuff in Obsidian, and ended up with a bunch of what I've decided to call "friend groups". So, picture this: the Fears are a bunch of college students living in the same building because housing is expensive. Over time, alliances and enemies have formed...
The Cool Kids (top left), with the Spiral, the Vast and the Dark. Most people actually find them more confusing than cool, but what they don't know can't hurt them ; and for what it's worth, they do make cool art.
The Annoyances (top right), made up of the Buried, the Lonely, the Hunt, the End and the Desolation. People avoid some of them because they keep wanting to fight people (the Hunt and the Desolation), and the others because they are unpleasantly stuck up (the Buried and the Lonely). None of them get along ; the only reason they're able to function as a group is because the End is playing the part of the parent and keeping the rest of them (mostly) in check.
The Creeps (bottom left), who ended up together because every other group kicked them out for being…well, creepy. The Stranger, the Eye and the Corruption are the original members. The Web was originally part of the Cool Kids, but it realised at one point that the ones who feel like outcasts are easier to manipulate, so it switched. (It is also the End's ex, but neither of them share much about themselves, so the Eye is pretty much the only one who knows.)
The last group (bottom right) is so extreme and aggressive in their ways that the Buried, who used to be part of their group, ended up leaving entirely after it started dating the End (they do bondage in the evenings :3c). The Flesh, the Slaughter and the Extinction are menaces to everyone and everything, but the teachers are too scared to stop them and they always find some way to get away with it as a result. Rumour has it, the Slaughter keeps trying to start violent faction wars, the Flesh is always biting people, and the Extinction literally wants the end of humanity...despite being utterly. Frighteningly. Human.
