I wrote down reasons why I like franziskay so much as a pairing so I decided to dump it here!! These aren’t even the half of them, by the way :)

OKAY SO I want to talk about why I like franziskay because I believe they work so so well together. They are so different yet so similar, even stated by Franziska and Miles themselves:

“We’re alike, that girl and I.”

(Franziska von Karma in aai1-4)

“It would appear that because her father was a respected prosecutor… Franziska is sympathetic to Kay’s feelings…”

(Miles Edgeworth in aai1-4)

Another reason why I like franziskay as a pairing so much is the fact that Franziska and Kay are both willing to drop their emotional barriers for the other. Kay has a tendency to not take things seriously and Franziska rarely shows affection or care for others given that she grew up under the von Karma household. Despite this, both of them show how deeply one cares for the other by dropping these emotional barriers rhe SECOND one of them is in danger. It’s especially evident in aai1-5 when Franziska is accused of murder and Kay JUMPS to her defense, becoming serious about the case at hand and even telling Miles off when he gets sidetracked. In Franziska’s case, it shows when she finds out that Kay has been injured in aai2-4 and Franziska’s stoic demeanor immediately changes, becoming sad and worried and upset that something like that happened to Kay.

Okay FINALLY!!!! My last reason for now is the fact that they literallyyyy have my favorite parallels out of every single aa pairing….. both of their fathers were very successful prosecutors. Both of them admired their fathers greatly and wanted to fulfill their legacies, only to realize that those legacies were not what they thought they were. Both of them lost their fathers to legal corruption, albeit in different ways. Both of them decided to continue their fathers legacies but still carved out their own paths within them.

….. and that is why I love franziskay!! they would fit all the prosecutor x detective jokes that the aa fandom makes and they’re literally the opposites attract trope. Billions must franziskay

Day 6 of AA yuri rarepair week: Free Day

Cool Franziska x Kay facts! Franziska had comforted kay while she was crying in the bathroom, without knowing who she is or why. But she was the one that encouraged kay to keep going despite that. I'd like to think kay knows that franziska was the one that comforted her in the bathroom, but franziska doesnt. I also love this anthology so much because the characterization of franziska is amazing, "if you're not tall enough, there are ways around" says alot about her as a character.

-Larry asks who the cute girl is (oogling at her like a creep he is infamous of)

For the first sentence fic thing, "Last time we did this someone almost lost an eye, and yet you're asking me to do it again?"

Miles Edgeworth's whinging had absolutely no effect on Franziska, who handed her whip over to Kay Faraday with a blithe smile. "Now, remember --"

"--it's all in the wrist," Kay nodded, serious, letting her shoulder bump against Franziska's, sending a wave of warmth through her that was sharper than the crack of the whip and far more unexpected. "I got it, don't you worry about me."

"You should worry about me instead," Miles groused.

"Do not be so dramatic, Miles Edgeworth," Franziska said imperiously. Her eyes didn't leave Kay for a second, the line of her as she was poised to strike, a model of potential energy. "You are not even in the line of fire."

"I am, however, the one who will be facing the consequences for whatever comes of this."

"Oh, you mean me being awesome?" Kay snapped the whip, not even in the vicinity of her target, and Franziska watched as the blood drained out of Miles Edgeworth's face.

"I wash my hands of this," he eventually decided, and stalked away. Good riddance, in Franziska's opinion; now there was no one distracting her from watching Kay. Ostensibly her form; more accurately, the concentration on her face, almost enough to completely eclipse the mischief, as she stepped up to the line drawn in the sand.

"Ready, Seb?" she asked, and drew the leather taut between her hands. Franziska could feel the echo of it on her own palms, imagining shared warmth even through both of their sets of gloves.

"Okay!" he said, confidently poised in front of the wall, an apple balanced just in front of that strange piece of hair that stuck out from the rest of it.

There was a whistle, and a crack, and a swish; the apple fell to the floor, along with Sebastian Debeste's hair swirl, as though it had been cut with scissors, and he watched it fall with a dismayed expression; and Franziska felt something hook behind her heart and tug.
