My late contribution to the flood of Fire Emblem Three Houses content for the first anniversary! (At least, I’ll say that it is. Really, I just did Dimitri and then went ‘hey, why not do the other house leaders for the first anniversary?’ so here I am.)
I’m not entirely happy with how Claude’s hair turned out (also, why is he the only one without a weapon?), but hey, at least it’s done. Using the magical power of trawling through all the Pokémon trainer sprites that exist to find suitable limbs to stick together, I managed to replicate the official art and poses of the three house leaders.
As usual, requests for Fire Emblem characters in this style are open; currently in queue, M!Robin. Drop an ask or a reply, if you want. (And check the ‘sprites’ tag on my blog for previous FE sprites I’ve done.)
Someone requested a Dimitri a long time ago, so... I finally got around to it. It’s based off the official artwork of pre-timeskip Dimitri.
Anyway, more Frankenspriting in the Pokémon trainer sprite style. His arms were a bit of a challenge, because they either looked like noodles or like sausages. This is one of the first times I tried to scratch out the weapon myself (because usually I just take the sprite of the weapon from FEH, shrink it and then clean it up), and... it doesn’t look great, but I’ll get better at it, I swear.
Feel free to leave a request for any Fire Emblem characters in this style. I’ll get around to them eventually – hopefully. No guarantees. But if you don’t mind waiting for ages, just leave it as a reply or ask (anonymous asks are open, if you don’t feel comfortable without).
I made an Edelgard sprite too to match with Dimitri. I wanted to do Claude today for the first anniversary as well, but I lost motivation after Edelgard. Well, I’ll try do Claude another time… (Her hand took way too long here. It was too big, it covered too much of the face, the arm wasn’t attached to it properly… At least I got it done, though.) Anyway, again, if anyone has any requests for Fire Emblem characters for these Pokémon trainer sprite edits/frankensprites, just let me know – reply, ask, whatever. I have a M!Robin queued up, and maybe the Claude if I feel motivated enough.
Lon’qu in the Pokémon trainer sprite style.
This one was particularly difficult to Frankensprite and you don’t know how many sprites I had to go through and edit to make it look right. (Three different sprites used for the head, three + creating a completely new hand, two different legs to make it match the pose he has in FEH. (And a lot of editing of the hair and the legs because they refused to look right no matter what I did with them.)
Also, I’m taking requests for any Fire Emblem character to be made ‘in this style’. Just drop an ask or something; I’ll probably attempt to get around to them whenever I’m free. (Leaving your username/not anoning would be helpful so I can notify you whenever it’s done, because I don’t know how quickly I’ll be able to get around to it, but you don’t have to if you want.) Check out my other FE sprites with the ‘sprites’ tag on my Tumblr.
The RGB trio with their weapons from FEH!
aahsdfjk I accidentally made Forsyth tiny but you know what? I’ll fix it someday because I’m too lazy to do it now. I also edited Lukas’ sprite a little because the old one was really bothering me.
(below is just another rearrangement of their sprites – don’t mind me)
It’s Conrad, the masked knight! (Is it even considered a spoiler anymore? Fire Emblem Heroes doesn’t seem to think so... or it doesn’t care. Probably the latter...) He’s very lovable (one of my favourite characters!) and I had to make one for him too. I might end up making sprites for all of my favourite Fire Emblem characters, but who knows? (Also, feel free to leave requests for Fire Emblem characters for me to attempt in the Pokémon trainer sprite style. I’ll try my best!)
This was done through Frankenspriting (basically, by squashing together limbs from actual Pokémon trainer sprites and heavily editing them) again, but I created the cloak myself using his FEH portrait as a reference. I quite like how it turned out for having made it from scratch.
Saber frankensprited in the Pokémon trainer sprite style, requested by @shooks-stupid-stuff!
I felt strangely motivated and got to work immediately after seeing your message. I’m actually pretty happy with how it turned out! I would’ve thought the hair would be difficult but it actually looks alright once I added colour. The legs probably took longest to do because I wasn’t looking at the reference right, haha. Anyway, I hope you like it!
