Rose was one of the few people in the world who actually liked Hux' hairstyle and could apprecciate the effort it took to maintain. She also thought that blue looked good on her fiance, but there was a minor detail that disturbed the impression:

Rose: "What are you doing with your fingers?"

Armitage: "Isn't that how one is to look when meditating?"

Rose: "You... finished meditating and are practising a pose now?!"

Rose (internally): How come everything that made him menacing as an enemy, makes him utterly adorable in private?

Armitage: "Not practising, putting it to effect. Look to your right - we have visitors!"

Rose: "Friends of yours?"

Armitage: "Trach is my scanner officer. He's dependable in his role, but can't be trusted to actually be loyal to my person. Kandia, too, is loyal to the First Order as a whole, not to an individual leader. I respect her work ethic a lot."

Rose: "Sounds like they're as close to being your friends as you allow anybody to come."

Armitage: "I do find them pleasant to have around. Griss, however, is firmly in Pryde's camp. He resents me having climbed through the ranks at my age already."

Rose: “He does seem to be in an awkward spot, being too young to have served in the Empire already, but too old to connect to your generation.”

Armitage: Precious Rose! You’d even find something nice to say about the Emperor, would you?

Frantis: "So, this is awkward, General. We set off to rescue you, but as you can see, uh... Tell him, Commander!"

Masir: "We got outmatched and after concluding that there was nothing to be gained for the First Order by our deaths, we surrendered."

Frantis: "We're prisoners like you now, but we managed to put the Resistance under the impression that they can "heal" us, so they granted us a limited free range."

Armitage: "I'm not a prisoner. This is simply a convenient place to wait for the Republic Remnant to make up their mind. About pretty much anything."

Tishra: "Yes, I can see you're not wearing a tracker."

Tishra: "We not just failed to rescue Hux, he wasn’t even captured in the first place? Looks like we made fools of ourselves."

Rose: "Let's talk about something NEW instead!"

Frantis: "Ouch. But deserved in this case."

Armitage actually is wearing a tracker, too, he just isn't aware of it. It's hidden in the armband Rose gifted him and Rose additionally installed a shock/stun function that she can activate with a command word.

So I made a chart of which First Order characters would have eaten these reusable bingo chips that we were all tempted to eat in elementary school.

Word in the cure village had gotten around that this household was suffering from serious delusions, and everyone else had their own emotional luggage to deal with before they could chat with the trio about an imaginary emperor’s return. Most of the soldiers who had broken with the First Order understandably weren't keen on socializing with General Hux of all people anyway. 

But occasionally one of the other households came over. Those visits were usually centered around a shared activity.

Padme: Bleeeeeh!

Armitage: "Padme! Don't distract us!"

With a "ping, ping, thud" the ball landed in the grass and Admiral Griss sneered at his opponent.

Frantis: "Word of advice, scatterbrain: stick to your kitchen, bake us something nice and let the adults do the fighting."

In the finale: Frantis Griss Vs. Rose Tico

Rose: "Lost a couple of skyfortresses recently, Admiral?"

Frantis: "That's not working on me."

Rose: "It's not? Oh, my bad. I was asking because your movements were a bit frantic, Griss."

Frantis: "Ack!"

Corra: “So that’s why the First Order uses numbers instead of names. Yours are all such low hanging fruit for puns.”

Rose won the game :-)

Masir: "Permission to speak freely?"

Armitage & Frantis simultaneously: "Granted."

Masir: "Thanks, uh, General and Admiral. So the rumour is true? You proposed an alliance with the Resistance, because the emperor has returned?"

Armitage: "Yes to both. Although seeing the pace at which the negotiations go, Palpatine will come here first. Together with his whole court."

Rose: "You see, the Resistance doesn't believe us one bit."

Masir: “You must admit, Sir, it

does

sound a bit far fetched. Why hasn’t the emperor made his return public?”

Armitage: “We left him and his thralls on the remote planet where he manifested. The Force is powerful, but it cannot create a space ship or a communications satellite out of nowhere.”

Tishra: “How remote exactly is that planet you’re speaking of?”

Armitage: “That’s confidential information.”

Rose: "We hope the Resistance's disposition will change when we can convince them that we're sane."

Frantis: "We better prepare for an extended stay, then."

Random Headcanon Re: First Order Military Ranks

For convenience purposes, I HC that ranks in the First Order army and navy are mostly the same as/equivalent to ranks in the American army and navy. In the American army, there are 5 ranks of general officer (brigadier general, major general, lieutenant general, general, and general of the army).

The First Order navy (or at least the Imperial Remnant that would become the First Order) used fleet admiral / Admiral of the Fleet canonically (Rax). If we presume equivalent ranks to the American military, the existence of the rank Admiral of the Fleet does imply the existence of an equivalent to General of the Army. Also, seeing as we know Hux was demoted between TLJ and TRoS but his title is still “general,” that confirms that there are multiple general officer ranks in the First Order.

Pre-TRoS material pretty much seemed to make Hux out to be some especially high-ranking general, with no mention of Pryde or anybody besides Snoke directly in charge of him. So, before TRoS, my headcanon is that Hux was the army’s highest-ranking officer (General of the Order??) (his naval counterpart being Admiral Griss).

We know Hux wanted the rank of Grand Marshall, which for overly elaborate headcanon purposes we’ll say would be the acting commander-in-chief of the entire First Order military, not just the army. I don’t remember any mention of that rank actually being occupied, though; if there was an officer who immediately outranked Hux, you’d think that officer would be the one reporting directly to Supreme Leader Snoke in person.

So, where does Pryde and the rank “Allegiant General” come in?

This is where it gets comedic.

Kylo Ren is not part of the First Order military. He is in charge of the Knights of Ren, a separate entity working with the First Order military, but he is not actually military himself. He also doesn’t seem like the type to try and learn much about the military. It doesn’t seem like too much of a stretch to say Kylo probably doesn’t know much about army ranks besides that “general” is important, and that Hux is some kind of Particularly Important General who outranks everyone except him and Admiral Griss.

So Kylo becomes Supreme Leader, demotes Hux to lieutenant general or just plain old general, abolishes the rank General of the Order or whatever we’re calling Hux’s hypothetical title, and literally just makes up “Allegiant General” on the spot and puts Pryde there just to piss off/spite Hux. Let’s be real, “Allegiant General” doesn’t sound like a real title. Allegiant General technically replaces General of the Order, but is also functionally equivalent to Grand Marshall, as Pryde seems to outrank Griss in TRoS.

TL;DR: “Allegiant General” sounds like a made-up rank and Pryde showed up out of nowhere in TRoS because Kylo literally did just make up “Allegiant General” and promote him during the timeskip.

This point didn’t fit anywhere else in the post, but Hux’s apparent physical health also lines up with this theory; the other generals on the Supreme Council, whom I assume are just straight up generals, don’t look particularly exhausted or worn-out--and Hux himself seems a lot physically healthier in TRoS, when he is presumably the same rank as them. Pre-TRoS, though, he’s horrifically sleep-deprived and visibly malnourished due to constant overwork. Either his work schedule was more hectic than a normal general’s, or he was just...particularly hardworking compared to the others, which seems unlikely given what we know about Quinn, Parnadee, and Engell. Or particularly bad at time management, which seems unlikely given what we know about Hux.

Griss: Why are you naked, sir?

Pryde: Uh...I don't have any clean clothes.

Griss, going through Pryde's closet: Yes you do, there's this tunic, a greatcoat, hello there General Hux,

Kandia: "We did it, we did it! The Deep Spawn is down!"

Tina: "If you think so, you two can forfeit your shots. You don't have to execute someone you consider inno..."

Hux: "I will klll Blue-2!"

Not even pretending that this is for anything other than the older officer first not having believed him and then, in the face of proof, not having admitted his error, Hux knocks an arrow.

The arrow flies, and the player declared "dies".

Tina: "Blue-2, please join us at the targets and lay down as comfortably as possible until all shots have gotten taken or forfeit!"

Griss: "You utter fool, Hux! There are still two suspects, but you guys have only a single arrow left! You could have secured a win for everyone by shooting One or Five instead of me, but opted for petty revenge!"

Hux: "I opted for deduction. It's Blue-4, and he's safely dead."

Tina: "Yellow-1, you may take your shot now or step ba..."

Kandia: "Blue-5, please! "You could all be Deep Spawn" my ass!"

Unlike Griss, Agent Tierny really believes in her hypothesis that the Deep Spawn is in the yellow team. Even now she cannot be certain whether she is getting shot by the monsters of by the somewhat spiteful heroes.

But then everyone lies on the ground and Captain Chen points a remote at the trio.

Captain Cardinal - Blue-4 - has his appearance holographically changed to a hybrid of human and Deep One. The third Deep Spawn was identified and neutralized!

The humans have won... But which team exactly will get declared the winner?
