Today, June 16th, 2026, is the 20th anniversary of...
...Nacho Libre!
Its star Jack Black has two sons, who as of this year turn 20 and 18 respectively.
I think it would be neat, and raise A LOT of money for A LOT of orphans, if they were to hold a once a year charity wrestling show where they wrestle as "Hijos de Nacho".
Jack's sons don't need to become full time wrestlers and would only "need" to help out for at least the first event to help get things off the ground.
If he's interested ask Darius Rose (no not the one from Rue Paul but the kid who played Chancho) to do something.
Obviously include actual Pro Wrestlers and Luchadore's.
Invite the original Fray Tormenta, whose life inspired the movie, and ask Fray Tormenta Jr to wrestle but I think this could turn into an actual thing that helps a lot of kids for years and years.
How successful would King I…
…be if they were real and were being scouted by a major pro-wrestling promotion (WWE, AEW, TNA, NJPW, AAA, etc)?

Sergio Gutierrez Benitez, better known as Fray Tormenta, was a priest who wrestled to feed orphaned children. He was the inspiration for the Nacho Libre movie
Sergio Gutiérrez Benítez, a mexican priest, who supported his convent by earning money wrestling as a mexican ‘luchadore,’ or ‘lucha libre, to feed, cloth, and house the orphans he had sheltered. Although wrestling was seen a sinful act within the church, Benitez moralized this by saying “ I didn’t want glory. I wanted money.”
Through several attempts of trial and error Benitez, or ‘Fray Tormenta,’ was able to win enough matches to successfully earn enough money to properly support the orphans housed within his convent. Apart from the financial support that wrestling played it also provided an example for the orphans that if you dedicate yourself to something for the betterment of others you will be rewarded in higher ways apart from the monetary compensation that is awarded by fame.
In 2006 the comedy ‘Nacho Libre,’ directed by Jared Hess (formerly known as the character ‘Napoleon Dynamite’) and starring Jack Black, was partially based around his life as a priest and wrestler.
Oh thank God, Fray Tormenta is doing better
