Why have I seen no jokes about Freck sounding exactly like Kermit the Frog? I understand we’re all having Vader and Obi-Wan feelings but I’m not over the fact that Kermit is apparently an Empire loyalist.
Jedi represent danger
Ok look maybe I’m having to many feels about the murine alien, but he feels so kind and neighborly. He just seems like this random kindly old dude. He offers rides to weird farmers with a suspicious story and to tired Stormtroopers. He's a friendly guy, and he seems to do this so regularly, that he’s on a first-name basis with them.
Like I don't think this is a situation where, "oh this immoral coward sold the heroes out." Freck truly believes the lies about Jedi. He thinks the Empire is doing good, and that the Jedi are against order. He thinks he is protecting himself and his planet.
He thinks he is on the side of good.
And that's why it hurts to be Obi-Wan, to have been a source of hope to the people, but now all that is gone. This person who graciously offers rides to weary travelers is worried that a Jedi might be around.
Because the Jedi don't represent hope to him; they represent danger.
I have just discovered there is a Charcter in Kenobi that is named "Freck" and I dont know how to feel....
*SPOILERS*
Poor mole alien. He likes the Empire and the Storm Troopers seem to be cool with him, but we all know the Empire sucks. Freck seems cool though, so I kinda feel bad for him.
God dammit, OBI-WAN! 🤦♀️ Did he seriously said Leia's name out loud?! He was the one that came up with their cover stories! He is so lucky that he quickly covered that up, otherwise, he'd have blown their covers.
Also, I'm just glad we're getting some more recognition on Padme, cause I think she was only mentioned in Return of the Jedi so she doesn't get mentioned a lot in the other movies after she died. And, yeah, Leia is like Padme.
