oh my god fred being an english major makes so much sense if you consider his love of comics/superheroes.
i feel like it’d be so, so funny if he was top of his class at SF state. like if big hero 6 had a mission and the villain’s whole schtick was that they only spoke in shakespearean language…. and fred was the only person in the group of STEM nerds to understand and have the battle IQ needed to defeat the villain
Big hero 6 is so much funnier if you think of Tadashi and the other SFIT students as a poly relationship
Like these four mourned their boyfriend and decided to reach out to their boyfriend’s little brother because supportive and all that just help the kid feel better
Then they find him and get chased by a super villain and this kids turns them into super heroes?? And they realize every story Tadashi told about this kid wasn’t exaggerated he really is just like that
I feel so old knowing that today is the 6year anniversary of "The Globby Within." O_O It's definitely one of my favorite episode of the series and like I've said in previous posts, the relief I felt when BH6 saw that it was Nega-Globby behind everything and believed Globby was innocent was immense! Also, even though I know we're all pissed off at Chief Cruz labeling everyone a fugitive in this, it still had the best possible ending of the scenarios I thought up and it's definitely cool that Globby learned mimicry because he had to. ;) It was obviously great to get those FelonyGlob moments too. ;) ^_^<3<3<3
TW: Mentions of killing, torture, and references to drugs.
Inspired by @dukeswonderousmenagerie pls check their AU out.
The Groups
In this AU, there are Hunters everywhere to take care of demon filth. Huntr/x for Korea, 4*Town for Canada (as well as the US, Alaska, and Mexico) The Immortals for Japan, Poison Affliction for Colombia, etc. Each group has an organization behind them that looks out for/care for them
Huntr/x have Sunlight entertainment.
4*Town has GalaxyStar entertainment
Poison Affliction has Candle entertainment
The Immortals have Baymax entertainment
These management companies serve as the group's families (whether bio or adoptive) and helpers. You see, these groups can't be everywhere at once.
When there's a tear in the Honmoon, Encanto, Stronghold, or the Opalescent that's too far for the main groups to reach, the Helpers do what they are trained for. Help.
They are trained in demon combat as much as the main groups are. They have their own weapons that are used to take them down as well.
Why is there just one group for one whole country then? Because not everyone has that spark to make a barrier between worlds. It takes certain people who have it to be able to make it efficiently.
Those who have watched Gachiakuta think of it as that. The big guys work the magic, and the little guys pitch in where the big guys might need extra hands.
Younger members are not allowed to fight yet. They are trainees until they are eighteen. So Mirabel, Camilo, and Hiro can't do cool stuff at the moment (But you know some kids just don't listen). They can help from the sidelines tho.
Think of Spider-Man and his guy in the chair.
Soul Harvesting
Soul Harvesting works like a power-up food. The more souls you have, the more powerful you get.
What Soul Harvesting provides: Super strength, super speed, agility, enhanced reflexes, lack of incessant voices a clear mind, lower morality, the ability to focus on an opponent better, euphoria, y'know, all the things that make up a demon.
Lack of Soul Harvesting: The feeling of severe starvation, clear morality (so you can feel the guilt of what you do), voices reminding you of things you would rather forget + picking at the guilt, sluggishness, melancholy...*hippie voice* just a total bummer sensation man.
As a demon, wouldn't you do anything to not feel that way? To not remember what you did?...to feel happy?
So, yes, souls are like drugs to demons. But, like I said, they provide power-ups.
Level one: 20 souls per day
All of the positive effects listed above.
Level two: 40 souls per day.
All of the positive effects listed above are telekinesis, teleportation, telepathy, fire breathing, high jumps, heat detection, and mind control.
Level three: 200+ souls per day
All of the positive effects listed above, all of the effects listed in level two, Weapon manipulation (you know when Huntr/x pull out weapons from thin air? Yeah, if demons get enough souls, they can do that too), and fusion.
Fusions are when two or more demons fuse to make a bigger, more powerful demon.
The Saja boys are between level 1 and 2, starting out, because most of the souls go to Gwi-ma. So, technically, he permits their level-ups and their soul intake.
Which means the boys are also between starving and not starving. 30 souls per day is their allowance. It may be less if one of the boys upsets him. He punishes them in two ways: He punishes the one who messed up by taking away souls, and does the same to his friends. Making the one who messed up the blame for the other's suffering and starvation.
On top of that, he may have to watch his packmate be physically tortured.
So, yeah, no stepping out of line again, JINU. (You're making us suffer because of your pair of goo-goo eyes!)
This also means the boys are kinda high most of the time. Not too high, they still need to function. But high enough to feel normal and a little happier than the average human.
Do the souls add up per day?
Yes and no. If the souls are kept to the same amount every day, the powers attached to them will be the same. This is because most demons need A LOT of souls to function per day. If they move around a lot, or even just a little, the soul energy they use dampens.
And seeing as the boys do a lot of movement all day, every day, they lose the soul energy. Leaving them exhausted and on the brink of psychological torture. Not fully there, but still, teetering.
The more you lose, the more you get flashes of your old life. Feelings of guilt are creeping in. And of course, the voices. Voices that poke and prod at your insecurities. It doesn't happen often, but they are susceptible to it.
I'll think of more at some point. Please send any thoughts you have about this if u want. They may help me think about stuff.
The Issue
Many Helpers under Huntr/x are getting...slaughtered. Not that they weren't prepared. It's just that...the Saja Boys were prepared too. They are faster, more agile, and have lived long enough to learn demonic combat.
The helpers did manage to land hits and slices...they just ended up in vain.
More helpers are dying left and right. What's worse is that their souls aren't even getting to cross to the other side. No. They are being consumed for the sake of getting stronger. A need to stay happy. And an addiction.
From Huntr/x's perspective, or mainly Celine's after watching footage, the Saja Boys are happy about what they're doing. No remorse. No shame. No guilt.
(Besides Jinu, the other Saja Boys weren't/aren't the best people. But they weren't the worst either. Well, besides Romance. But even he had his moments of kindness.)
One moment made Celine more concerned then she had ever been.
She saw the demons band together and form a circle in the sky. They combined their powers to make a powerful rainbow-like beam that singed the very ground the Helpers were on.
Demons aren't supposed to do that! Nowhere in the old texts says they can do that...
