Oldham legend Muzahid has recently been named a Deputy Lieutenant by the Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, Sir Warren Smith KCVO JP. He was an outstanding choice for this prestigious honour after decades of excellence in community work “to enhance the fabric of Greater Manchester.” This year Muzahid released his debut book - The Gift of Giving to enhance the power of communities in order to enable members to embrace development and empower themselves independently on course to self development, fulfilment and becoming better Muz has always used the foundation blocks of family first and foremost to keep himself level headed and inspire to do better, and this is why, despite such mainstream success, he has kept his feet firmly at a grassroots level, supporting and coaching others to much greater achievements. A thoroughly humble man, Muz has been crucial in organising the historic Oldham to London #freedom50 cycle ride to highlight climate change and help street children. As an Ambassador for Running Mad it gives me tremendous pleasure to share a limited edition medal of excellence with a true community icon. May the goodwill of those you have empowered enable you to enjoy many golden years of success. #freedom50 #oldhamtolondon #bookbiker #bookbikelondon #thewanderinglondoner #workingclasshero (at Altab Ali Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/CQ5xO6yBmbs/?utm_medium=tumblr
