Why did Louie decide to stay with scrooage and his mom?
Is he just lazy, or he can't seem to find anything for himself to do?

I don't really have a coherent plot atm but I was thinking of some ideas.
After being diagnosed with diabetes at 13, Louie became extremely depressed that lasted 3 years, finding being alive exhausting. He became sluggish and sad, struggling to come up with schemes, plans, or even the will to continue.
Scrooge had paid for Louie to go to an Ivy League school, only for him to get caught cheating.
When Scrooge asked why, out of laziness or cheapness, Louie admitted it was because he was terrified of failing Scrooge because he was burnt out and constantly tired from barely eating and not sleeping.
Louie's schemes were sloppy and poorly put together, often making him melt down over the holes when they went wrong, and that's how he got caught cheating.
He didn't want to let his family down, so he just tried to get away with what he knew; scams, cheating, and lying.
Scrooge grounded him for life, and forced him to try to find a job. After no jobs took him because he had a record of scamming and stealing, Scrooge employed him as his personal assistant/financial advisor (forcing him to be responsible).
He hangs around his mother because he doesn't watch what he eats, and his blood sugar spikes often, so his family has to force his pep away from him. Della forces him to work out 💔
He's a tiny bit chubby (skinny fat) because I love them. Also, he literally doesn't drink water so LMAO. Should I put a tw for shirtless Louie? 🥀
