The ubiquitous rooftop atelier affording views over a Parisian cityscape was a dream come true for a young Jacques Grange, who first saw the building at the age of fifteen. A beige leather sofa by Pierre Chareau, Jean-Michel Frank stools and a door handle by Ruhlmann are some of the notable collections that contributed to an aesthetic which Grange referred to as “Art Deco Colonial”. We'd arrived from a very touristic Vang Vieng and Vientiane and welcomed this #peaceful town a bit off the beaten track with limited amount of interference of tourists. Also admired the French #colonial #architecture which is very prevalent here.
