in part i wanted to do this bc back in december I drew claude and I was super disappointed w the results so I vowed to redraw him much better someday

8 months later here we are LMAO 

for reference here’s the drawing im talking abt

while the parts seem okay, the whole feels very in-cohesive to me? also the hands LMAO

so lemme say that by revisiting this after spending 8 months studying anatomy, refining lines, and embracing a clearer style im VERY happy with my sketches rn :’)

I don’t think Cad has ever said this but when I began sketching it, the phrase  came to mind and sounded exactly like something he’d say :0

The original sketch was WAYYY different than what I drew here. I’m really happy with how each piece evolved into something better! Adding the Wildmother kind of brought the piece to life in my opinion!!

It’s post-war time and Claude has finally returned from Almyra to be with you. The two of you manage to sneak away from everyone and sit together in the garden where you used to spend hours talking. You both catch-up, drink tea, and relax, Claude leaning forward while he sips at his drink. You then glance up from your cup and meet his eyes. Even when you begin to shy away he continues to cherish your company, eyes ravishing your face while he remembers every detail he possibly can.

“I’m so happy you waited.”

Also this time I got his skin tone right >:D I used a different brush and it worked out better!! Also I need to practice clothes more and folds,,, The good news is my hands and arms are improving!
