Chicken Fried Chicken is a Southern classic that features tender chicken breasts coated in a flavorful seasoned breading and fried to crispy perfection.
Ingredients: 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon salt. 1 teaspoon black pepper. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon paprika. 1/2 cup buttermilk. 2 eggs. Vegetable oil for frying.
Instructions: Pinch the chicken breasts together so they are about 1/2 inch thick. Add flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika to a shallow dish and mix them together. Mix the eggs and buttermilk together in a different bowl. Each chicken breast should be dipped in the flour mix, then the buttermilk mix, and finally the flour mix again. Warm up the oil in a big pan over medium-high heat. Chicken breasts should be fried for 5 to 6 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and fully cooked. Take it out of the pan and let it drain on paper towels. Enjoy while hot!
