You can serve these cute penguin poppers as an appetizer at any holiday party. They are stuffed with a salty cream cheese mixture and then fried until golden brown and crispy. Add them to your Christmas spread as a cute and tasty treat!
Ingredients: 1 package of vegan cream cheese. 1/2 cup finely chopped black olives. 1/2 cup finely chopped red bell pepper. 1/4 cup chopped green onions. 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast. Salt and pepper to taste. 1 package of vegan wonton wrappers. 1 small carrot, cut into small rounds. 1 small olive, sliced into rounds. Vegan cream cheese or agave syrup for sealing. Oil for frying.
Instructions: Put the black olives, red bell pepper, green onions, nutritional yeast, salt, and pepper in a bowl and mix them all together until they are well mixed. Place a wonton wrapper on the table and fill it with a small amount of sauce. Run water along the edges of the wrapper with your finger. To make a triangle, fold the wrapper in half and press the edges together to seal. To make a penguin shape, fold one corner of the triangle toward the middle. Then, fold the other corner toward the middle. For the feet, use a small round of carrot. For the eyes, use a small round of olive. Stick them on with a little cream cheese or agave syrup. Place the pan over medium-low heat and add the oil. Fry the penguin poppers for two to three minutes on each side, or until they turn golden brown. Take them out of the oil and let them drain on a plate lined with paper towels. Enjoy while still warm!
