One of my favorite hobbies is watching sitcoms devolve over time from relatively grounded stories about groups of wacky people getting into funny situations and maybe finding love in the process to grimdark dystopias about groups of people who have no real love for each other and are only clinging on out of codependency and a desire to recapture their youth while they ruin every other good thing in their life and the world itself becomes warped into an absurdist universe where everything revolves around them and every other character is like a cartoon character.
