Does Tron work as an actual videogame? 44 years of ‘fighting for the user’

wait okay so Steve went into the ice in 1945 or whereabouts, right? With his big star spangled frisbee, which got me thinking, which got me googling, and i just...
frisbees were invented in 1948 and not even called that until the late 50′s. Anytime in a fic someone refers to Cap’s shield as a frisbee (esp in 2012 avengers era fics) realistically he’d be sitting there like “???? is that the same as a whatchamacallit? like a thingamabob?” like he’d just think it was some made-up ridiculous word or something bc lets be honest, “frisbee” doesn’t sound like a real word at all, because its not, it’s named after a pie company bc a bunch of dumb kids at yale started throwing Frisbie Pie Company tins around for shits and giggles
and I just think that’d be fucking hilarious, the gang finding out for the first time that Mr Apple Pie doesn’t know what a goddamn frisbee is even though that’s literally his only weapon of choice

Also the reason why my silence here...
You know those foldable frisbies that you can just unstrap from its itty bitty holding place and Fwham big ol frisbie? I bet you could design one that's just the outer ring and fill it with salt for a pocket sized instant salt ring.
nice
Another early eighties D&D cash in knockoff product, a “dragon frisbee” from wham-o.
Taken completely out of context, this line just made me laugh.
