This month marks the 2 year anniversary for Into the Night! I had originally thought of making a more upbeat mix. Unforunately, one of my favorite composers, Jóhann Jóhannsson, passed away just a little over a week ago, on February 9th. Reeling myself from the news, I decided to make my own tribute mix to his music. He’s made one of my favorite albums and soundtracks of all time, how could I not? 

He was one of the most forward thinking composers around, especially with his score to Arrival, Sicario. I was lucky to see him live in Copenhagen back in December 2016. I even got to meet him briefly and say hi! I always looked forward to hear more from him. I had hoped we’d see more decades of work from him. Hopefully, this mix will celebrate his work and introduce him to new people. RIP

Den Anfang der Gast Dj Reihe macht F-Act. 2006 machte Mental X auf ihn aufmerksam und spielte einige seiner Tracks in seiner Radiosendung. Seitdem hat F-Act seine Tracks auf Labels wie Baroque Records, Limeroads, LuPS, Indigo Records und einigen mehr veröffentlicht. Er war unter anderem zu Gast bei Frisky Radio, spielte in den angesagten Clubs und verzauberte das Publikum immer wieder mit seinen energetischen Sets. F-Acts Liebe zur Musik begann bereits im Kindesalter und ist ungebrochen. Die lange Liebe spürt man bei seinen Liedern und seinen Sets (Meiner Meinung nach hört man immer wieder mal ein wenig "Oxygene"raus).
