frixel is awesome because based on their colour schemes you would expect fritz to be more sun-coded and vixel to be more moon-coded but i think it's kind of the opposite? i feel like fritz is a moon-coded character who tries to be like the sun and vixel is the reverse...
vixel is someone who was raised to the spotlight during his time in the choir but got outshined by lucretia and had to grow into accepting a more supportive role for her and others... but i feel like the dazzling duet wyrmprint sort of implies that vixel still yearns for the spotlight both in terms of his singing career and as a fighter... it makes a lot of sense he debuted as a staff unit with lucretia as a wand but i would have loved to see a sword/blade alt for him
fritz is someone who's lived in the shadows his entire life until annelie brought him out to the light and since then he's dedicated himself to growing into someone befitting that light... i don't think he would dare try to outshine annelie but he has to shine just as bright because that was what she saw in him? i think fritz plays her support role really well because he balances what she needs him to do and what he thinks is good for her nicely
i love annelie and fritz's relationship but i think their event made it clear that annelie isn't someone fritz feels like he can burden his past with nor does annelie view that as being important when she's more interested in the fritz now and in the future. so i feel like his relationship with vixel hits a nice gap where he feels more comfortable with opening up because they have that in common but he's also so eager to help vixel gain confidence again (just like the way annelie did for him)
