Ok. Ok. Hm. Okay. The Clara reveal? wasn't expecting that. I guess we can call her Cowardly Clara now that we know she sold everyone out for self-preservation.
Sophia acknowledges the color change in her room. oh man Julie is goingg throughh itt It feels like if Henry even has a Hint of doubt that From could be a reality, and it seems he does based on his apprehension about removing the anchor, he wouldn't be able to do it! Because, like, on the 1% chance any of this is real?? you just murdered your own son. That scene with Victor was really hard to watch. Boyd is really leaning into his authority as sheriff, eh? And Kenny helps him. I thought surely Tabitha was going to oppose it, but then she just proposes her revised plan. The way people in this town treat Victor has always been dehumanizing and manipulative and it's because he's mentally disabled. Victor has been surviving here for decades before any of them were here and when he chooses to speak for himself no one listens. but, sure, let's go all in on jade's mushroom trip. What is most annoying is that they just completely dismiss Victor, they don't consider what he has to say for even a minute. No second thoughts about it whatsoever. I know people are desperate right now, they want So Badly for this work, but god damn is it hypocritical. I usually don't get real angry at the characters, but, for once.. I'm feeling it. I'm angry at Boyd, I'm angry at Kenny, and I'm angry at Jade because everyone only ever wants to extract things from Victor but they never want to actually support him and this is the boiling point. I guess the only positive is that Victor being locked in that cell might protect him from Henry. Also, the BiW helped Sara and Boyd previously and Boyd seems to either not care or remember? Also also- Ethan talking about how this place tries to lure you away from the truth with fear? Bingo, imo. Anything that is Hopeful is good, and the source of Hope is in the roots of the tree. But Fear drives people away from Hope. Ghost Jim can be trusted, BiW can be trusted, and the bones are real and they do need them, but like Sophia said herself- they're doing it in the wrong way. she seemed worried when she learned Jade and Tabitha were going in there together, though, which means they are closer, but something is still going to go terribly wrong. MiY takes on the form of people who were once living CONFIRMED. aaand I am so very worried for my boy Elgin. Why him ☹️
Why didn't they check the ladder??? So Much is riding on the fact that that ladder will work and they didn't do any tests on it. Didn't hang it up from a tree, didn't do any checkups on it, nothing. Sophia wasn't even very discreet with that knife, man. every time she's up to trouble I'm hoping someone will take notice and no one ever does, which like, is fine, but it's so hard to watch 😭 also that little truck would Not be able to pull that tree up, but I will excuse it as being From logic. But then, even if they do pull the tree up, the dirt would collapse on top of jade and tabitha 😭 People might die having to rescue Jade and Tabitha, more likely because the ladder is going to break, not because, you know, realistically, if they do get the tree up, the dirt would cave in on them. (if jim was still there, as an engineer, he'd immediately know it was a bad idea lmaoo) it seems like the blood Fatima drank is either speeding up the process or corrupting it. if it's speeding up the process, then it seems the end results are favorable for the MiY, and for some reason, right now is crucial for it to reach completion. It could also be she won't be able to use it to her advantage anymore if it gets too far along which is also good for the MiY, bad for the town. My mom has a feeling something bad will happen to Marielle. Soo. i don't know. that whole episode sort of just stressed me out, which doesn't mean it was bad, just painful and anxiety-inducing and things just seem to be getting worse and worse. it feels like this whole thing will be a net-negative for them and they'll have to take their last stand in season 5 gasping for breath with less than they've ever had. I mean, they'll probably gain more knowledge, but at what cost? And what use will it have if everything gets screwed up? Episode 10 is gonna be crazy for sure.

elgin can't catch a break 😭 i really was hoping at first he'd be eavesdropping wondering what was going on with clara & sophia and then play it cool and run off to show someone trustworthy but ah... no.. poor, naive elgin.
