Arranged Marriage AU vs Accidental Marriage AU with Supercorp, if you're so inclined :P

Arranged Marriage AU! Takes place on Krypton. Lena and Kara are arranged to marry to tie the Luthor and Zor-El houses together, lest war break out. Perhaps Lex orchestrates some grand backstab which involves an assassination attempt on Kara. Perhaps Kara and Lena have both been fed propaganda about each other’s houses. Perhaps they have to keep up appearances for publicity.

H. How would you describe your style.

This one is answered here.

P. Are you what George R. R. Martin would call an “architect” or a “gardener”? (How much do you plan in advance, versus letting the story unfold as you go?)

I mostly just wing it. I usually come up with an idea and sort all the details out in my head before I actually write it, so no solid plan on paper but a decent idea of where things are going before I start. Most o the things I write are short anyway so not a lot of planning needed. So a bit of both I guess.

#21 - “We’re in the middle of a thunderstorm and you wanna stop and feel the rain?”

Kara frowns, mid parking lot, crossing her arms like a puppy. Doesn’t move an inch. It takes Lena a moment to turn around, from the entrance of the supermarket. Lena can’t help but be both amused and frazzled at the sight.

The Kryptonian is soaked to the bone, when she moves it’s like a fucking tidal wave flings off of her. Yet, she doesn’t look bothered in the least. More upset by the fact Lena seems to be rushing her, as is her nature, when they have time. It’s the thunder. It makes Lena nervous, but it’s amusing nonetheless.

“Why do you always do that?” Kara asks, not moving.

“Do what?” Lena looks around, frantically, in search of more thunder.

Kara sighs and motions with her arms, indicating the entire outside world. Lena’s brows just dip. She’s absolutely confused as to what she’s done to cause the display. Kara must notice this, as she moves closer, water dripping off of her as she does. It’s even more amusing.

“You always rush!” Kara starts, “we have the entire weekend! Lena! You have time to breathe and feel the rain! It’s so serene and lovely!”

Her face scrunches.

“It gets everything soaked, it ruins fabrics, and it floods parts of the world,” Lena starts cautiously, “how is that lovely?”

Kara does a twirl in the rain, dramatically flailing her hands around before coming to a stop she almost falls over from. The near fall is enough to get Lena to step out into the rain like she could possibly catch her. Once Kara has righted herself Lena steps back into the safety of cover.

“How is it not?! It doesn’t do just those things!” Kara is absolutely flabbergasted. Her shirt looks like it could weigh her down, there’s no way she can see through those glasses, and her hair- she looks like an upset, excited dog.

Only Kara.

“The storm-”

“Will pass! It doesn’t mean we have to jump from one moment to the next in a flash! It’s okay to breathe!”

Lena deflates. She has a habit of doing that. Of jumping and constantly moving even when she doesn’t have to. She’s been...trained by the Luthors to do that. That moving and constantly being one step ahead pays off. They never told her it also means you miss important things along the way. She hates the idea of that. Of missing things, not noticing as she passes them by, because she moved too fast.

“You’re right...I’m sorry.”

Kara shakes her head, water flying everywhere, and Lena can’t help but laugh at the sight.

“It’s okay, but you have to remember to slow down.”

Lena smiles, “I’ll try.”

“Good!” Kara claps her hands, smiles, then opens her arms for a hug, “hug?”

“Oh absolutely not!”

Kara takes another steps forward.

“Kara Danvers! Stop right there!” Kara does not.

The guy at the cash register thinks she’s insane when she tries to hold the doors shut. They’re automatic.

Let's start!

I like that I'm a pretty decent cook and that I'm constantly looking for ways to improve those skills. Coming up with different kinds of recipes is something I default on doing when my brain wants to relax. It's how I came up with my Are You Taco-ing to Me burger 😂 (yes, I totally did a Bob Belcher)

I think I'm also a decent writer? I love all the stories I've ever written, they're all my babies. I never used to be confident or at least I've never been self-assured enough about it to be like, hey, I'm pretty okay doing this thing. And it's a skill I hope to keep improving on everyday ☺️

I'm pretty resourceful, at a pinch. Like yeah, I will most likely panic for a few minutes 😂 but once I calm down, I'll think of everything I can to fix anything. I just like being able to come up with fixes/solutions.

I like how much I love to learn, especially from people and the things they're truly passionate about. I'm a work in progress and I'm weirdly proud of how I'm not so proud that I can't admit when I'm wrong or don't know/understand anything. Is that considered a humble brag??? Idk 😂

I am very forgiving, sometimes maybe too forgiving? But I'm not about to change that just because people hurt me or whatever 🤷🏽‍♀️

2. How long have you been drawing?As long as I can remember! My grandma has been regaling me with tales of how I loved to color when she babysat when I was little. Apparently I mandated that she also color with me. xD

16. Do you draw more today than you did in the past, or do you draw less?I draw more today! :D Joining this fandom and drawing fanart that are things I just really enjoy drawing has made me draw the most I’ve ever drawn and I can see the growth. I’m very stoked about this.

Supercorp – Kara walked into the room, saw what Lena was doing, and promptly dropped her entire box of potstickers :P

(I changed the tense)

Kara walks into the room, sees what Lena is doing, and promptly drops her entire box of potstickers.

She doesn’t even care about the mess she knows she’s just made, about the loss of her potstickers, because right now there’s only one thing onher mind and one thing is Lena.

“Kara, are you okay?”

Lena’s in her space a moment later, tugging her away from the mess, worried eyes watching her as warm hands settle on her arms.

The proximity does nothing but give Kara a more close up view of Lena’s current outfit, warm hands on her do nothing to slow her still racing heart.

“Are you working out?”
