‘From the Founders’ series: Audio Obscura
We begin our series of speaking to the founders of some of the most interesting businesses in Electronic Music with the Amsterdam-based Audio Obscura
Organisation: Audio Obscura (http://audio-obscura.com/) Founder: Jeroen Fontein
Describe your organisation in 10 words or less: Audio Obscura loves connecting music lovers with significant, off-the-beaten-path locations.
Why did you start it? By giving artists (DJ’s) a place in a unique venue to perform, you challenge them to do something different then they do in normal club or festival settings. These unique performances translate to the vibe on our events and take care of a special experience for our visitors.
What’s your most important learning so far? Once you set your goals, most important is to let the people around you believe in the same goal. In the end, you do this together and everyone has to work towards that goal. This means you have to be very flexible, because the path to the goal will always be different then you have in mind.
How can the Danceonomics community help you? The insights Kevin and his team give on our industry are very helpful. To see where we are, where you place yourself, where we are heading to and how you see yourself in that future.
