Squat everyday (that you can)
I haven’t been the most diligent practitioner of the Squat Everyday Program. However, I did set a front squat PR this morning at 295 lbs (+10 lbs). The weight didn’t even feel that heavy.
Front Squat With Belt: 45 x 10 95 x 10 135 x 5 185 x 5 225 x 3 275 x 1 285 x 1 295 x 1 (PR)
I warmed up for the normal class after I squatted, and we did “Jackie.” I PRed that WOD too at 8:37! I ended up subtracting over 3 minutes from the last time I did it.
I’m just running through the days of the SE program as I come to them (whether I took a day off or not). Tomorrow will be day 9. I will probably do that before tomorrow’s partner WOD.
I’m not squatting every day, but I’m still squatting heavy much more often than I was. I feel like I’m getting stronger because of it. I’m learning to support the heavy load correctly. I’m learning to be strong.
