Today's WOD: 5RFT 200m 45# overhead plate carry Rest 30s 400m run 1:00 rest Score: 25:17 Super proud that my 400m split times stayed close.
The ladies rode bikes and I ran the trail. Ten miles worth.
Found something to run to. #spartantraining
(4) 1000 meter repeats. Easy six hundred in between. ~4:50 each 1000 meter. Was hoping for a little faster. Still working on pushing my stride at a relatively slower pace.
10K Time Trial
I’ve not been the best at keeping up with my running schedule lately. Between work getting crazy and  me being lazy, I just haven’t kept up with my running like I need to. That being said, I ran a 10K yesterday through Restoration Park in West Monroe (6 laps plus a little).Â
Obstacles on today’s race were a red eared turtle, a pair of love making mocking birds and a lady with way the heck too much perfume.
The first 4.5 miles were ok. After that, things started to hurt. My body is not used to running that far yet. I’m hoping things start to toughen up.Â

I officially accidentally ran the farthest I’ve ever run today! Today's workout was to run (6) 800m repeats with an easy 400 between each. After I got done, I added it up and I had run 4.25 miles. Up until this time I’d only run a 5K. Splits were decent. I was hoping to be able to hold a 3:40 split for each on. Got it on the first on. Held a 4:00 split from then on. My calves are burning.
Working on the rower to develop that aerobic capacity. 35 minutes for distance breathing only through my nose.
5K trail run virtually tied my flat road 5k PR from last spring and demolished my last time running 3 laps at Restoration Park! #progress

Happy flex Friday y’all! Went on #backpacking trip through the Arkansas hills last weekend.
My wife bought a rower for April fools day. I put in thirty minutes. My rule was to only breath through my nose. If I started mouth breathing I had to slow down and recover. I was able to hold a 2:10 pace pretty much the entire row.
Slept in this morning. Making up for it this evening.
#hookgrip is gonna suck for a little while.
Back to the track. Trying to learn how to be fast. #spartantraining (at West Ouachita Sports Complex)
