After an unexpected visit from her younger sister, Calliope decided to take a short vacation from Frostford for two weeks and returned to Seattle in hopes of making amends with her family. To say things could’ve went smoother, was an understatement. Her mom welcomed her back with open arms, whilst her father did the complete opposite and tried to kick her out of the house. Then that turned into an argument between her parents and unbeknownst to the blonde, her mother’s health had been deteriorating during the four years she’d been away from the city. Getting a reaction like that out of the woman only made it much worse and she ended up in the hospital later on that day. It turned out that her mother had stage four kidney cancer, and sadly she passed away during that month. Her visit back home had turned from two weeks, a month, then now, a year had passed. She’d spent that year trying to take care of her family for once, trying to mend the relationships with her friends and family that she destroyed before she left Seattle.
With her father finding comfort in a bottle of liquor after her mother’s death, Callie decided that maybe that they both needed a change. Being in the city was toxic to her father, and using the money that he hadn’t spent on alcohol yet, they’ve bought their old family home in Frostford and recently came back to the small town. With her father now jobless and her siblings still living in Seattle, it was now up to Callie to look after the family. Luckily upon her arrival, she managed to get her job back as a waitress at the Star Diner. Nothing had changed much to Calliope Faraday, she was still the town mom, being her bubbly, flirty self. On the outside, that was. On the inside was a complete different story, she just never let herself go too far, to let everything that happened in the last year to sink in. She was home, and she was glad to be home, for now.
