It was announced today that Frozen on broadway won’t be reopening with the rest of broadway (whenever that may be). Even with the gates of Arendelle closed on broadway they’re gonna let the sun shine on in so many other places and my heart aches but that’s only a testament of how special this show was.

Thanks for all the light and love, Frozen on Broadway. You meant so much to me, and I’m so thankful I got to experience your magic.

some people really need to learn theater etiquette. i saw frozen on broadway last month and it was great! every single cast member put on a phenomenal show, especially considering the sheer amount of noisy, rambunctious, young kids in that theater. however, come curtain call, the actor who played hans stepped out and bowed - only to be met with overbearing boos, not from kids, but largely from parents and adults? and this wasnt the only case of this ive seen of this at shows, and broadway specifically, but it was certainly the worst and loudest. he handled it with grace and didnt falter, probably so used to it, but i cant imagine it’s enjoyable. his cast mates notably clapped and cheered for him louder during his bow to try and quell some of the negative response and it honestly broke my heart a little? 

please keep in mind when you attend shows that the villain is not their character. every actor you saw on stage put on the same show, for the same amount of time, with the same amount of passion (i mean....hopefully lol). arguably, if you hated his character so much, even more kudos to the actor for doing their job so well. the point is that it’s largely inappropriate to boo a cast member after a performance at any show and for any reason, but especially if it’s due to their character’s actions. if you really didnt like their actual performance so much and feel the overwhelming need to express that.....clap quieter? if you really are that upset over it? but please, for the love of theater, do not, and i mean do NOT, boo or make any actor feel bad at the end of a show solely because of their character in said show
