WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?
Once I’ve cracked open its singularly unappealing skin / shell, I can’t decide whether it looks more like a skinned testicle, garlic gone rogue or an albino satsuma.
Who cares? It’s absolutely the most delicious fruit I’ve ever tasted. Apparently a (obviously VERY distant) cousin of the lychee, it’s soft, sweet and has no annoying pips. Nor does it have the consistency of a raw eye-ball. I feel an obsession coming on.
