something i rlly like about this story is that like. it shows how easy it would have been for sn*pe to feel like. an actually redeemable character. like in the here and now of the story to make pro-social choices instead of repeatedly choosing bitterness and selfishness and childishness. recovery is more interesting than redemption anyway and this version of the character feels much more on the brink of recovery than he ever seems to be in the novels.
