the idea that barça's women's team shouldn't play at the camp nou because it wouldn't be a sellout just bothers me so much. yes, it's true that it is a really big stadium and even with 60k people it still would look a little empty, but you have to start somewhere. wanda, san mamés, etc. didn't sell out the first time they were opened but teams still opened them and they did it again after that. if you manage to bring 40k people to a game that's already a big deal and a good start. like the quarter finals game vs atleti truly is the perfect opportunity to let them play at the camp nou for the first time because it's a champions league game against our biggest rivals (who are also a big rival in the men's side so people that aren't familiar with women's football would see it as a special game and go, etc.), and we would be playing for a chance to be in the semifinals again. if you truly promote the game and the team people will show up. you just have to put an effort to make it happen

#not to mention that the johan cruyff stadium is too small for this kind of games #when you consider the attendance at the miniestadi in quarter finals/semifinals games in previous years #it's so frustrating bc on the one hand you can tell the club is definitely serious about wanting us to be a big deal in the women's game #but on the other hand they just don't seem to care enough #frustrating!!!#also why is it a requirement for the women to have a sellout when the men can't do it
