First big tattoo

I'm so happy with it. I love Frosch so much, but that's not the only reason I got him first. The reason is my dad has a tattoo of frog dressed like Tigger (a cat) and my mom has a tattoo of a tiara; I thought this picture of Frosch who is a cat dressed like a frog wearing a little crown was a great way to pay homage to both of them while still capturing my own silly nerd nature.

Is frosch a girl? Is frosch a boy? Frosch is frog

Literally watched the Frosch-tries-to-find-his-guild episode recently and. Kagura calls Frosch a girl, a little sister, and a bunch of other people call Frosch a he or it. Like, Frosch is a being above pronouns. A jack of all trades? Or a jack of no trades.

I actually remember thinking that Frosch was a girl, back when I was like 13, and I shipped “her” with Lector. Lmao. Weird stuff, but now I consider Frosch to be a little he-she-it 🫶🏻

🌱 Dragon Slayers: Evolution 🌱

This took a long time, but it was so fun to practice drawing full bodies (and cats 😭) for once! I actually sketched out the concept for these 3 pieces months ago— and recently decided to commit to proper drawings :D

[These pieces were for pure nostalgia, and to revisit media that was part of my artistic journey as a tween! I know the series has major flaws— the treatment of female characters, tasteless fanservice and poor relationship writing, to name a few. I despise these aspects, of course.

I want to make it clear that I drew this art to explore something that shaped my younger self's work. I don't condone Mashima's writing choices, nor did I even keep up with the later arcs of the story and the spin-off(s). Thank you for reading!]

Coming up with something to say right here every month is hard sometimes

The fairy tail redraw event is open to all artists (whether you are traditional or digital) and editors!

The rules are simple:

Pick a prompt to redraw or edit (or 2, or all of em if you feel like it!)

You're free to interpret and change the drawing however you see fit! Wanna change some colours? Wanna tweak things here and there? Go ahead! Nothing's off the table! The prompts are here to inspire you!

When you're done, @ this blog in your post and use the tag #fairytailredraw for it to be reblogged here and that's it! All there is to it!

Also an important note: though the redraw prompts change every month there is no such thing as a late drawing! You could draw any prompt any time and it wouldn't matter.
