"Alright, I'm getting in! Just stop being so damn grumpy about everything-" Alex murmured, sitting in the backseat of the car and shutting the door behind him. He didn't particularly like the idea of sitting in the backseat, but no matter how much he tried to argue with Miles, he couldn't win. The kid was just as stubborn as he was, probably even more. Slumping down in place, he began to wonder why he ever agreed to do this at all. Yet, here he was, sitting in the backseat of a car with a guy he only met two days ago--a guy he didn't even know how to feel about. Alex thinks he likes him sometimes, that Miles is a cool guy and he could see himself actually becoming friends with him. But five seconds later, Alex is contemplating his last thought about him. Mostly because to him, it seems like Miles isn't really fond of Alex- yet, he still decides to put up with him, too. For Alex it's just fucking mixed signals everywhere, but he was willing to put everything aside for now to see what Miles had in mind when he said "fun". Though, Alex had a feeling that it wasn't what people do for fun in their everyday lives. But that was pretty obvious when the flamethrower was mentioned..--he can't help but be a little curious about it, too. Curiosity immediately won over that little voice in his head saying, he's crazy, don't do it and he agreed to go along with Miles. All he could do now is hope that they won't get their asses thrown in jail or anything of the sort tonight.
For one brief second, he started to really think about why he was doing this. He didn't know if it was just one more distraction to keep him from thinking about Brie or if it was the fact that he was extremely attracted to the guy sitting in the driver's seat. It was probably a little bit of both, who knew? Though, he did hope it was just for the latter---he didn't want to keep distracting himself from a person who left him and dropped him completely without saying another word. He misses her, even though he knows he shouldn't. He can't dwell on her right now, he can do that on his own. Right now, he had his mind set on Miles. He was definitely a complex person, at least that's what it seems like to Alex. Like mentioned earlier, Alex always had no idea if Miles just hated him or didn't mind his presence or maybe even tolerated him. But, now it was Alex's goal to find out more from him and maybe get this guy to not hate him so much--.. the last part was probably too much to ask for, but Alex was a little hopeful. He watched as Miles got in the car himself and shut the door behind him. Alex immediately leaned forward, resting his arms on the edges of the two front seats. "So, you never really told me what we're going to get up to with that flamethrower. It makes me think you're planning to get rid of me---and evidently, you like to burn things, so I'm going to assume you're going to burn me to death." he was rambling again, but he couldn't help it. It was his way of filling the silence. "Am I right? Or are you going to tell me what we're really going to do?"
