at the end of every october, lotte world hosts an event filled with horror, excitement, and entertainment: fright fest. for the majority of the weekend, the park is filled with monsters, creatures, and villains who aim to scare anyone who comes near; however, for just one night, celebrities take over the park! this night, which falls on a saturday, october 27th, has a concert, costume contest, and -- of course -- fright. with a mix of trick and treat, fright fest is the highlight of october for many.
in-verse, this event will take place on october 27th; out-of-character participation may begin immediately! you may only collect points up to november 5th, 9:59am KST (when this event ends). please read below for all in-verse events and details on how to participate!

8 AM - 12 PM, rehearsals for all acts
12 PM - 1 PM, lunch provided by the park
1 PM - 4 PM, soundcheck (fixing anything from rehearsals) + freetime
4 PM - 5 PM, all artists needed backstage
5 PM - 12 AM, concert

2 PM - 4 PM, receive costume and place assignment
4 PM - 5 PM, meeting to learn about what they’re doing during the concert
5 PM - 12 AM, a mix of passing out candy to concert goers and helping professional staff scare those at fright fest
* to the public, the park will open at 4 PM; if an idol/trainee has freetime, they are allowed to go on rides

THE CONTEST,
have your muse compete in the costume contest! only debuted idols will be chosen as a winner. to enter, please complete the first mission listed under “the missions” section and tag the post with “ft. ff18 contest” -- for participating, you will receive +5 popularity points; the winner will be revealed at the end of the event (november 5th, 10am KST) and will be chosen by a randomizing generator. depending on how many people enter, more than one winner may be announced.
THE HORROR,
other than the typical events that surround the idol-infested fright fest, something else will happen that may or may not scare your muse! in order to figure out exactly what the source of this terror is, a “choose your own adventure” styled game will take place! here is how it will work:
there are up to 5 decisions your muse can make; their decisions will not only affect them, but those around them (tread carefully!)
each choice must be solidified by one thread reply per partner (1/1, wc: 300) or after posting a solo (wc: 400); after the post is written, please send the choice you and your writing partner made to the main blog through messages
once the choice has been submitted, new choices will open up. the new options will be sent to you through messages as soon as possible
this process of writing-submitting-receiving will continue until your muse gets through the choices or until you decide to not participate
(idols) the first prompt, your muses are backstage in a hallway they thought they were supposed to be in. the light at the back of this hallway keeps flickering and a strange noise is coming from around the corner. do your muses go towards the noise to check it out or leave?
(trainees) the first prompt, your muses are getting changed out of their costumes and are ready to leave the park when one spots a strange shadow lurking in one of the rooms. do your muses go in the room to check it out or leave?
THE MISSIONS, this event will have temporary missions (missions that can only be completed during this event for points). for all missions one can earn +5 sp and +5 karma
1. make an edit of your muse in their halloween costume, if you do not have an editing software, please write a solo (wc: 400) describing your muse’s costume
2. create a playlist of some songs that get your muse in the spooky mood
3. write about your muse’s experience with halloween
4. write about a time where your muse was genuinely terrified
OOC,
during the two weeks this event will be held, we will be hosting a halloween film fest on our discord server! specific films, times, and dates will be discussed on the server; keep an eye out for it!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
participation is not mandatory, but is encouraged! in order to participate, please create threads, write solos, and complete the missions listed above.
for every thread that reaches 3/3 (3 replies from both parties) and meets the word count requirement, one may obtain +5 sp and +5 karma! for every additional 3 replies a thread gets during the event, another +5 sp and +5 karma may be added. threads surrounding the concert in particular (getting ready, backstage, performing, etc.) will be eligible for +5 popularity points for only the first 3/3.
