“I’ve come to drag you away from your desk and paperwork and what I am sure is a massive developing headache” Monroe announced as she approached Gen, a self assured grin molded to her lips. She knew her friend was probably swamped after the fiasco of the gala and subsequent arrests and it was her day off, so she figured she might as well drag her out for fresh air. “You can pick where we go, and don’t bother saying you don’t have time to step away, I bribed your assistant with coffee and pastry’s and was told you have no meetings or any reason you have to stay here in the office.” It was indeed Monroe’s day off and after the gala and worn all she wanted was to spend time with her friend and enjoy the spring sunshine.

Gen had been avoiding Cassidy, and it hadn’t gone unnoticed. She knew why and could completely understand, but she didn’t like it. She knew upping and leaving in the middle of the night hadn’t been the best way of going about things, but she never was very good at staying in one place for too long.
