Mai’s fixing her lipstick outside the venue when she spots George, and suddenly all she sees is red. She doesn’t really think before she closes the lipstick and throws it right at his head. “Ditcher.”

“I mean, I’d prefer not to die, considering that would mean I wouldn’t be able to really be with whoever I was dying for again,” she begins, before shrugging. “But, yes. I’d die for my friends, for my Mum.” The scars that are no longer on her skin speak to that, speak to how much she was willing to give up in an attempt to save Nina, to save George. Back then, it hadn’t even been a decision she’d consciously made. For someone so organized, who thought carefully through every thing she ever did, trying to save them was an impulse. For once, she had acted without thinking, and although the results weren’t what she had so desperately wanted, she doesn’t regret it.

  BASILE . he’s locked up , and puts on a good front . . but i think he has a lot going on behind the scenes , if he’d let someone in . JACE , especially now that he’s dating one of my favourite people . ROSE . . she’s got something to her , doesn’t she ? something that’s just . . wonderful . ZOYA , because look at her .  i . . i mean , i guess i wouldn’t MIND knowing GEORGE more . JOSIE . . because she’s so selfless and kind and warm . i adore her , a lot .
