@kennedyjane: Ophelia has helped organise a play date for Aragorn and Lando’s cat babies. Will report back on how they get on.
@kennedyjane: Bad start. Aragorn found out I’m not taking him to see Olly and scratched me.

hey guys watch out for lando!!! you never know when he might run you over haha :D jk haha :D
do you think everything happens for a reason?
No. I dunno. Maybe? I don't think so. There are people that I love who have really awful, heartbreaking things happen to them and I can't really think of any good reason for why. I know a lot of people believe that your hardships test you and make you stronger, but I don't buy into that. Kennedy's strong because she's smart and she's brave. Luke's strong because he's got a huge heart and he shares it so willingly. Lando's strong because even when things are hard, he doesn't let it break him. He keeps smiling and he pushes through. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that we don't need awful things to happen to us to prove a point.
Things happen because they just do. I have the best friends in the world because that's just how it happened, and I'm so grateful.
Théo found that travelling around the globe had become part and parcel of being a Moreau, though slightly unintentional. He and Elodie were no stranger to being uprooted, having been moved from their cosy Canadian home at a young age – being 10 years old and having to listen to Elodie whine for almost 8 hours about how her tush hurt hadn’t been Théo’s ideal way to spend the long flight, but he wouldn’t have traded his sister for the world. Not then, and certainly not now after all the two of them had been through.
From Canada to their Papa’s ancestral home in Nice, to LA for a couple of sweltering years, and back to Canada again – this time Ontario, not quite as modest as their home town back in Québec – Elodie had always been by his side, and Théo had no doubt she’d remain their until they were old and wrinkly. Even with all the travelling that they’d done, there was still a sense of wonder that came with each new city, and New York seemed like a minefield of exciting new adventures for the two of them to get themselves into.
All that being said, with the vast expanse of the city to be explored, Elodie’s top priority had been to leave their parents to start unpacking while the two of them went to find a skate park. Théo had always had something of a nervous disposition – going as far back as the age of 3 when Elodie had climbed onto the kitchen counter to retrieve a pot of cookies, only to come tumbling down, ceramics crashing around her, a scar below her eye to show for it; Their parents had sworn black and blue that Théo had cried more than she had when she’d gone to get her stitches. But, ever since Elodie’s skiing accident, and the subsequent memory loss that had come along with it, the young blond was a nervous wreck. He found himself worrying about his twin sister day and night, always fretting and wondering what kind of mischief she could be finding herself in next.
Those same thoughts and concerns raced through his mind as he watched her now, feet firm on her skateboard as she whizzed past, her short curls tickling her cheeks, the smile on her face wide and infectious. She looked like she was having the time of her life and so Théo wanted to be happy for her, to trust that she’d be okay and that nothing bad could possibly happen in the – rather questionable – confines of the Brooklyn Banks skate park (if you could even call it that).
Restless as he was, Théo pushed up onto his feet, constantly moving from perch to perch, insistent that whichever corner of the so-called park he found himself just wasn’t secure enough for him to not end up with some unwanted injury to add to his already growing collection. The young blond tended to bruise easily, and he didn’t take especially kindly to being hurt, either. Sensitive as he was, tears were usually shed, and he didn’t want to go home with a brand-new shiner to worry his parents with. The last thing his father needed was to have to knock some sense into him so soon into their move.
“Théo, can you relax? You’re giving the pigeons anxiety!” Elodie called out, her sing-song voice carrying across the park.
Théo flushed, his cheeks turning a frightful shade of pink as he ducked his head out of embarrassment, his sister’s unfamiliar accent – and no doubt the volume at which she tended to talk at – causing heads to turn in their direction. She swerved left and right, expertly twisting her form in accordance with the board at her feet, before shooting off in the opposite direction, leaving Théo stood in the middle of the park and feeling completely out of his depth.
Before he could get his bearings and wander back to safety, Théo felt the full force of another body colliding with his own, knocking the wind from him as he careened to the ground. His back hit the harshness of the concrete below him, his bare elbows scraping across the floor as he tried to throw his arms up in an attempt to protect himself. His hands collided with the mysterious body, almost instinctively moving to wrap around the stranger’s form, shielding the other person from rolling away entirely and causing further harm to either of them.
“Merde!” Théo cried out, the French curse word spilling from his lips naturally. He squeezed his eyes shut as he hissed in pain, wondering momentarily what Elodie might do if she was in his position. Something unwaveringly cool and impressive, no doubt.
Finally, he opened his eyes to reveal that he was nose-to-nose with a boy so handsome that he knew instantly that whatever interaction was due to follow was about to be far more painful than the fall he’d just endured.
“Aw, nuts,” he mumbled, his hold on the other boy loosening. His hand slid along the stranger’s back, almost involuntarily, as he attempted to check him over for injuries – as much as one could do with a pretty boy laid on top of you, that was.
“Did I hurt you? I’m so sorry, that was totally my fault,” Théo insisted, despite knowing fine well that it wasn’t his fault at all.
